I'm closing in on completing my 4th 3PP month and I can honestly say that the program has been nothing short of outstanding. Each month my total revenue has gone up, and for July I'm on pace to net more than $2000. And considering that I've done mostly nothing since late June, I'm tickled pink.
Before I got into 3PP I was making less than $200 per month with SFI alone, so there is an obvious great difference between making a net of over $1500 per month and making $200 or less per month. Needless to say, I'm glad I got on board with 3PP.
The major reason I'm doing a work from home biz is that I wanted to be able to spend more time with my family, and that's exactly what I'm doing. I recently spent about two weeks with my mom and remodeled her bathroom. (Yes, I used money from 3PP income to pay for this) And then I spent two weeks with my son. He's back with his mom now, and I'm ready to get back to work and so what I need to do to increase my income.
A couple of observations I did make over the past month:
1. I keep a spreadsheet that accounts for what I make from the various income streams, and I record the numbers every few hours. One thing I noticed is that I'd get about 80-100 clicks over night, but hardly ever had any income from those clicks. So I started turning off my PPCs right before I went to bed, and at the end of the day my net profit was actually higher because I wasn't paying for the overnight clicks.
Interesting note... In four months, I had exactly ZERO Clickbank sales between midnight and 6 AM Eastern Standard Time. Not one. And my highest paying program IS Clickbank.
I don't know what the problem is with overnight clicks, but although I get/got plenty, there just wasn't enough profit to justify leaving the PPCs turned on over night. Perhaps mine is a unique case, I don't know. But I'm saving a few dollars by shutting down over night.
2. The highest PPC activity time periods that I've observed are between 10 AM EST and 10 PM EST. Almost all of my income and SFI signups have come during that 12 hour stretch.
Using PPCs I get about 600 visitors per day, and I've been able to somehow find keywords that stay below the $.25 cents per click range (Sorry, ya don't divulge where the gold mine is - so my keyword list is a trade secret) but I've got over 290 Keywords listed in 5 PPCs, so I can't help but get a lot of activity. It's costing me between $45 and $70 per day, and my return is more than $50 net per day.
Over the next couple of months I'm going to do a lot more work and see what I can do to increase my net income because I eventually want to get it in the $5000 to $10,000 per month range, and that won't happen until I do more work. Still, it's pretty exciting to know that I'll make over $1500 per month doing almost nothing. (Now, it did take a whole lot of hard work to get to where I am, so I don't want to leave the impression that it's been easy) Definitely doable, and rewarding. So if you're on the fense with whether you want to keep plugging away or drop the program, I'd definitely recommend sticking with 3PP and let the long term results speak for themselves.
Regards, -Kevin

You know, you might be onto something. I was on skype at about 10:30 am, and it said there were about 630 users onling. I just checked again at 11:15, and it says there are 6,198,079!!! That might indicate that a lot of people go online between 10 and 11 am.

Great Job Kevin. I love seeing your posts. It really keeps me motivated and to keep moving forward. I would have to say the BIG reward in this business will be to spend more time with the family..and of course the level of income that will increase over time. Let's all keep pressing on and encouraging each other.
God Bless,

That is great news Kevin! Thanks for the tip on overnight PPC. I'll have to check into that myself.
You sound like a very organized person. If I may ask, what kind of spreedsheet are you using to keep all your stats? This is something I need to do ASAP, however I don't know exactly how to set it up.
Thanks Kevin, keep it up!

Thats what it take is a lot of close observation and review of your ads and comparing the costs vs the returns... I believe you are going to continue to grow your business significantly over the next few mos... Take Care Erich

Lori and newcomers A while back there was a spreadsheet posted in the general question area called "Helpfull Business Docs". That spreadsheet was great. Also what I have found to be Very helpfull was suggested by Erich. A big desk calendar and on one side keep track of all expenses and the other side keep track of Income. Then at the top by the day I keep track of visitors. Then once a month I transfer the totals over to the spreadsheet. But the biggest time saver was suggestd by Skyrocket in another area on this forum. Download firefox and check your stats quickly daily. Here is where to find that. erichw33.proboards53.com/index.cgi?board=p3a&action=display&thread=1145127836#1146747298Zeta

Great job Kevin! I also read your post about your first month in Phase 3 and you were already in profit mode! Thank you for posting your success story and your tips. Lori, you can download an income tracking spreadsheet here, someone posted it in this forum or "the other place". I too need to start tracking...one of the many things on my to do list that gets longer everyday... Vince

Kevin, another great and precise post on your progress. That's excellent news and I'm incredibly jealous about the fact you average at .25 on PPC's! I'm not far off this on my Yahoo, but I do pay a little more on Ask.com. I'm currently exploring more PPC's now to decide two others to go with, which should double the visit's I currently get and this should get to about the same level as you, 600 a day. I was doing over 400 a day before Google decided to play silly buggers!
I love the way you are so organised and it's great that you are now starting to live your dream of spending more time with your family. As Erich does, I too expect to see further posts from you in the next few months with even greater success. I'm not going to say keep up the good work, because I already know you will!

Kevin,
I am so happy for you man. I remember a few months ago when you just started and were struggling to make this profitable. I knew that if you just stick with it, you would succeed.
I want to congradulate you for this great success.
$5000 - $10,000? You just need to increase your daily and monthly visitors and I am sure that you will get to that goal.
What an amazing post. You have made my day.

Great Job Kevin. This is what keeps me motivated hearing these great success stories.
I seem to have a problem getting the right combination of PPC working for me. I have been in 3ppp for about six months and have not taken a hit but just seem to be breaking even. SInce I stopped using google and have been running yahoo along my profits seem to have increased however my clicks per day have decreased. My best day this month was a net profit of $142 however then I had a few negative days following that. I can not seem to get the profit going every day.
I will keep tweaking my ppc and add msn again soon. I have used msn in the past but I have decided to back down to one until I get that one working well in my favor. I think I saw that suggestion somewhere on this forum.
Kevin agian congratulations on your success hopeful we will all be sharing our stories soon.

Great Job Kevin. This is excellent news. I also noticed this trend in Google regarding the times of sales. I run mine from 10am to 1am the following day. This does cut down on unnecessary expenses. That "time picker" thing with Google I think is new, but its a good tool to use. Everyone should review your post and adjust their ads according to their personal stats. That is great advice for those that were unaware that they could do this. Keep it up, Adam

Hi Kevin, Ditto on what the others said above...congratulations on the great success that you're having with 3PP and thanks for sharing it with everyone here, it is great motivation to those working the program regardless of what stage they're at. I agree with Zeta, it would be great to have you around more and post more often, you are a great inspiration to many of us and perhaps there may be a few tricks that we can teach you as well It's amazing what you can pick up from reading posts in the various discussions here by the members of this forum...I've learned a LOT over the past several months just from reading other's posts. I look forward to hearing about you hitting the $5,000 to $10,000 per month range soon Take care. Troy

Hi Kevin,
Thank you for that post.
I'm happy for you - but your news also reminds us all that the success is there waiting for us with 3PPP, we just have to get everything lined up just right.
Thanks especially for the tip about turning ads off overnight, I wondered about doing that and now I am definitely going to try it out.

Hoo-rah Kevin,
Good job. I have noticed the same thing but being in Thailand it is a 180. All my activity is while I am sleeping. Activity begins about the time I go to bed and diminishes and ceases soon after I get up. Sounds like you are doing it the right way, injecting your profits back into your business to increase your profits. There seems to be a formula, advertise, test, optimize. Thanks for being a good role model for us.

Great post, Kevin.
Another interesting note about timing: when I log into Google between 5-6:00 A.M. to check yesterday's Adsense earnings, the first page shows today's so far. Whatever is there at that early hour seldom changes the rest of the day. So, whatever I get by then is almost always what I will get for the whole day, even though for me (and Google) the day is just beginning.

Hey Everyone,
Thanks for the replies!
Debbie, you asked about weekends...
I do weekends the same way as I do regular work days, and there are obvious trends that I've noticed, and I've put a summary together as to why some days are better than others. ...
Mondays: The best sales day by far. This is the day that everyone goes back to work from the weekend to jobs that they'd rather not go to, so they sit at their desks and look for other ways to make money.
Tuesday - Thurs: These are not as good as Mondays, but still pretty good, although Thursays do suffer a slight decline, and I'm guessing it's because it's right next to Friday, and by the time Thursday gets here most people have come to accept that their current jobs are OK for now, and they lose a tad bit of the energy to find other money making solutions.
Friday: The worst day. This is the day where people sit at their desks and think, "I've made it through another week, and it wasn't so bad." And at this point they focus on the weekend and don't put much energy into finding other ways to make money. Note: My only negative income day for July thus far was 21 July, which was a Friday - True to form. For the most part my net gains on Fridays are somewhere in the $10 - $20 range, and rarely gets above $50. Still, $10 is a third of a tank of gas, so I'm happy with that.
Saturday: Saturday's are typically pretty good although they can be sort of Schitzoid in terms of how good they want to be.
Sunday: Sundays are very good too. I believe these are pre-emptive strikes by people who don't want to go back to work on Mondays. They enjoyed their Friday nights, rested up a little on Saturday, and really dread the 9-5 that awaits them.
To Everyone's Success!! -Kevin

Hi Kevin, thanks for some really interesting insights, you have a lot of great knowledge and we are all grateful that you share it with us (except the golden keyword list that is! ) It's would be great if you could visit us here more often as it is obvious we all get some great inspiration from your posts. You are a great guy to have around and you put my record keeping to shame, although I have noticed similar trends in my figures I couldn't be as accurate as you. I'm also interested in which PPC's you are using, as you know there are a few out there that don't deliver or deliver dubious results and most of us don't have money to throw away, so recommended PPC's would be really handy to have. I don't get anywhere near the success you do with my site, despite putting a lot of hours into it and everyone that has checked it out feels it'll do really well. So I put it down to my lack of marketing experience or just the fact I've obviously not managed to fine tune it in the way you have. Now with Google playing silly buggers it's put a bit of a spanner in the works. One of the main things I cannot copy you on is turning off my Ads at night as I'm in the UK and on a different timezone. I'd have to get up at 3am or somthing to turn off and then remember to switch on half way through my morning at work. Google does have a facility to automate this, but as I said, they've pretty much killed my campaign with them. Still, I'm learning to get around Google, I got back up to 400 a day just using Yahoo and Ask, but haven't found the sales anywhere near as good, so it's actually costing me money and I've had to suspend my marketing until I figure out how to better my results and receive a few checks from Clickbank etc... I'm going to try and find some more keywords too. Anyway, thank you for your advice above, it's helped me look at my marketing at different angles and unless you have a different opinion about my site, I'll just concentrate on this for now and leave my site as it is. Regards, Jim

I thought ASK was kicking in real well sending me between 500 and 700 visitors a day, but none of them were buying anything. I called them and they refunded my money, said they adjusted my account ( don’t know how ) and we started all over, but the traffic is not there yet. You might try calling them thay seem to be real helpfull or at least try to be. Florence
