I've been using a form of Erich's autoresponder messages, and really haven't been getting many EA's. I was wondering if the 1-3 day delay before I started the series for most affiliates was to blame, but then I read Gary Carson's latest Q and A post about leaving them more or less alone except to offer help when they need it.
What is everyone's take on this? Now that they are getting the daily emails from SFI, would it be better to send them a simple warm greeting and then leave them alone?
I know I've had a few people recently who have opted out because they feel there are too many e-mails.

Hi Deb,
This is what I learned in the past and is still true today.
When I get a notification of a new SFI affiliate, not only do I have a greeting message that welcomes them to SFI when they log into their SFI account, but I send them an email from my hotmail account and welcome them from there.
If they don't reply back to me, I just let SFI do the follow ups for me.
Now, if an affiliate emails me and asks for help, I will help them with open arms. I tell them to read the Smart Start and then I just go from there.
The fact is that many people who sign up to SFI are not go-getters and they don't want to do any work and this is why you see many who don't reply back to you. They sign up and they think that money will just roll in with no efforts from their side.
Those who are go-getters, I really tell them about Erich and his training and send them the TOPS link to get started.
I think that this is the best way to guide them.
Now, you also don't want to push them to do anything.
Another thing that I want to add is that it is very important that you sponsor people on a daily basis because again network marketing is a numbers game.

Thanks, Tal,
I've been wondering if this isn't the best way to go. I've been laboriously putting them all into my GGS account, but it isn't doing much good anyway. The ones who do upgrade would have upgraded without any proding. Many of them actually get to it before they get anything from me.

Deb,
Since reading Gery's post, I basically do the same thing as Tal. I have a welcome message set up in SFI and I send them a welcome email when I get the notice. Since SFI is sending messages for 1st 30 days then I am leaving them alone unless they email me.
If they complete SS or upgrade to EA then I do put them into GGS campaign to advise of upgrading/advertising, etc.
I also send out a "monthly" newsletter through contact manager of latest news, etc. and urging upgrades, etc..
