Hi Susan
I'm very sorry to hear that your father has passed away. It is good that you know [and he knew before] where he is now. Some fathers and daughters have special relationships and it sounds as if you were one of the lucky ones who had that.
I have 2 grown up daughters myself and I'm always happy when they come over to visit... I have a lot of wonderful memories of our times together. I'm sure you have the same with your dad.
Cherish those good times you had with him and it will get you thru this grieving period.
God Bless you and your family!
Erich
PS: BTW... we really have missed you here and look forward to having you back after you get thru this period.

Susan,
Just wanted to add my condolences, I am very, very sorry to hear of your loss. I am extremely close with my Dad as well, and hearing this makes you realize just how precious our time here is.......and how short. Take comfort in the fact that he is waiting for all of you in Heaven, and will continue to be your gaurdian angel while he waits. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. God Bless.

Dear Susan,
I'm so sorry for your loss - but so grateful that you both had such a good relationship with each other. What a blessing for both of you. Often it seems that our 'modern society' doesn't value or treasure the relationship they have, or should have with their parents and other family members. What is there that's more important in the end than our relationship with our family? I can only think of one more important relationship. That is our relationship with God.
But there's just so much selfishness in the world today, I guess. You are special. All of us who have had an opportunity to get to know you in this forum have felt of your giving, caring attitude and I know I am thankful for you and the example you are of unselfish, pure love toward your Dad.
May you all be blessed with the healing balm of pure love that transcends time and space. Treasure those memories and share them with future generations. Write down how you feel about your Dad and the precious memories and moments that defined him so that you can keep his memory alive until you all meet again.

Susan
I know it was hard to find the time and strength to post about your loving father and thank you for taking the time to let your "online family" know - I love seeing all the comforting words given to you and prayers that are going out for you and your family.
I am so sorry you are going through this. I know how hard it is and I will pray for you, and everyone in your family. I admired you as an online friend and you helped me so much in the beginning. We miss your participation here and look forward to hearing from you more.
Susan, if you ever need to talk, just pm me and we can exchange numbers. I have been where you are today in your life and even though I have no answers to take the pain away, sometimes just having someone to talk to helps.
Take care of yourself and keep your faith.

As I am reading all of these responses it is putting tears in my eyes. (Happier tears) What a wonderful group of people you all are. You have no idea how comforting it is to know there are so many compassionate people in the world. (well at least in this forum) Saying thank you does not seem like enough. I wish I could meet each and every one of you in person. I feel like I know alot of you just through this forum. Susan

Yes Susan, I agree. I feel that over the last year and a half since I have been here, we have grown like a family.
It's good to know that we have someplace to come to share our worries and sorrows and receive so much support and love from people we have never met.
We certainly are a great group and I am so honored to be a part of it.
