TIght times during GM strike

GM has just gone on strike, and my husband just phoned to say they are headed to the union hall to see what's next. Things are going to very tight at our house if this strike lingers...and I'm sure at other's homes also. I've heard the sticking point is about job security.

Please pray for wisdom in our finances during this time, and also for a fair compromise to be reached between the union & management...hopefully quickly.

I was just watching the morning news and heard the strike is over!
I know you are relieved. This just re-enforces that everyone should control their
own destiny by working at home - no strikes, can't get fired and the benefits
outweigh the hard work!

;DThey reached a tentative agreement and second shift starts tonite. I am sooooo happy for everyone involved.

I have two that work at GM design, and they are not union. Their jobs were even slowed down because of this.

Lets us hope the other negotiations with Chrysler and Ford go a little smoother.

Thank you all for your support. I was certainly surprised at how fast the strike ended...but I certainly thank God...One less thing for me to worry about!

I redesigned my site last week, and so far it's doing better...not sure if it's the site, or just a cyclical thing. More tweaking to do...but that's my job!
