It took me 9 months to get to the 100,000 visitor mark. I posted that in September. It took me 1.5 months to get to 150,000.
I added a few more ads and posted a few more articles, but other than that not much else. Man when this thing starts feeding on itself the traffic just soars. This is more proof to you all that it just gets bigger and better as you go along. Look at Chris Stirling's results (see SFI Leaders board) for more proof. Some of you don't need more proof, but I KNOW some of you do. Do not get discouraged. Just keep on working. Adam

Hi Adam, I'm so impressed about those figures! It's still like science-fiction to me! Keep up the great work Adam! Vince

Once you get your ad campaign set up the way you want it... then the possibilities are unlimited... I'm not trying to "One up you" Adam, but I set up a new counter and tracking program in Oct of 2004 and am fast approaching my 2,000,000 visitor... just since since then... I actually started back in 1998.
We all have exactly the same marketing strategies ... that includes Chris, Adam, Lori... and everyone else in Tops 3PP. It is how you put them to use, which will determine how successful you become...
The Internet is so hugh... I have just touched the surface of online advertising sources... Anyone with a little creativity can easily build on what I have provided you... the sky is the limit!

Actually Erich I am glad you posted your results. I have often wondered how you fare per day, month, etc in traffic. It gives me a goal to shoot for. My hope is that exponentially my traffic will increase and feed on itself, which it seems to be doing. I am getting more and more clicks per day coming directly to my site. I attribute that to my article posting. Onward and upward, Adam

Hi Bosco,
I see that you have a url diverted to another url as your site loads.
Since you have a very big site with alot of html and images, by doing this divert, is your webpage loading quicker ?
Im concerned my site loads too slow and I want to rectify this before I do any bulk advertising
Thanks Jack

Jack, No, I do not believe it loads any quicker doing it this way. The only reason I purchased this url initially was so that it would fit on my ID IT plate I put on my car. They limit the amount of characters. My original url is kind of long so it's hard to put on every form of advertising. Another advantage of this was that I can use the url in Google adwords and it seems to help with the price per click they charge. They made a change to their system a while back that really hurt alot of us here. All our best keywords got slammed with $10 bid minimums. When I changed my referring url to my shorter one, that just forwards to my main site, my bid minimums when down. If you want to check your load time I use : www.netmechanic.com/toolbox/power_user.htmYou can compare your site to any other site out there and see how you stack up with others. Compare it to my site if you wish. Good luck, ADam

Thanks for the info Adam
One other thing. How do I get a website backgroung like you have. The advantage of your background is that it distracts the visitor and more importantly keeps him / her as your page loads. How can I insert a background like this?. Is there html for it?

Jack, You get your background like mine by creating a square with color and words with a size of about 200 x 200 pixels. Then insert this code : <body background="image name.gif">
All you are doing is putting a background code in the <body> code already on your site. I suggest using a gif since it will most likely be a smaller file size and help with your loading time.
The reasons you cited for having a background like mine is exactly why I did it. I wanted something to come up besides a blank screen while it loaded. thanks, Adam
