Hello, I'm confused again. I've been working on the affiliate fuel ads and am not quite sure how to do the links. What I am doing is opening the add in affiliate fuel and copying the address and then creating a link with that address from my site. I looked at some other sites and clicked on their link and it is the same address as mine so it is confusing me. I thought that there would have been a noticable affiliate id in the address bar. On the other hand I noticed that if I click the links from Sandra's site that the address is her site plus the add name.html. Is there a right and wrong way to do this or are both ways acceptable?

Vicki, Both ways are acceptable. I ended up cloaking my links, that's why you still see my domain in the address bar when you click on one of my links. If you want more info on how to do that, check out this thread: erichw33.proboards53.com/index.cgi?board=web&action=display&thread=1142704915If you simply want to add your affiliate links to your site, then what you have to look for in the code they provide at Aff. Fuel is the part right after the href=. That's your affiliate link. Hope this helps Sandra

If you are copying and pasting the html code AF provides you for your chosen creative, you will get something that looks like this when you click on the ad from your site:
aftrk.com/e/NameOfCompany/signup.cgi?AffiliateID=YourAffiliate#
Unless you really understand what you are doing - and from your questions it seems that you aren't quite there yet - it would be best for you not to do anything other than copy and paste the html code as presented. With what you are doing now I don't think you would get any credit if someone should click on the ad from your page.
Just go to "Browse Current Promotions" click on "Business" choose a company from Erich's list, pick one of their text or banner ads (aka "creatives") highlight and copy the code, and then paste it onto your site.
Doing it any other way is probably not going to make you any money.

Thank you both, I am starting to get this but am still confused on at least one issue. I'm not going to guarantee that you can make sense out of this. I found coastal vacations in AF with only text banners. I clicked on the headline and got this link which is what I used for my ad which I wrote myself. I have no idea how to use those text only banners in AF. Here is the link I got www.homebusinesssurvey.net/coastal1/info.aspx?cpgn=5105&scpgn=0&vid=22120I thought that the vid at the end was my affiliate id but when clicked on the coastal vacation ad in one of the example phase 3 sites the address bar read the exact same thing. Is this something to do with cookies where my computer is automatically going back to the first affiliate link that opened up this site? If that is the case, how do I find out what my id is and why doesn't it do that with the links that were cloaked? When I went over to biz/op I found coastal vacations and copied one of the banners by copying the html code and pasted it into my site (I shocked myself when it worked) and got this link www.cemprospects.com/coastal1/info.aspxcpgn=5357&scpgn=0&vid=25637&aid=CD1042 Now I can see my affiliate id in this link. I don't get the AF thing at all. In the code box under that headline where I got the first link it says this: <p align=center><a href="http://aftrk.com/c/c?b=23249&h=22706&sh=320429&bt=1x1" target=_top>Make $1,000+ per week from home - in travel! Click Here!</a> What is my affiliate id in this? I am not getting how to use these text banners in AF. All I really want to use is my affiliate link. If you guys understand this I give you all gold stars. I wish we had a hotline number to call! Vicki

Vicki When you click on the headline, you see what the customers will see so you know if that is what you want on your site or not. That is not the link you use!
Coastal Vacations, as well as most if not all other offers, has more than text. Text is the default but if you look you will see where it says "Get Creatives By Specific Size:" next to a box with a drop-down arrow. Click on the arrow, choose "all" and then click the red "go" button. You will then be able to view all of the options. However you still need to use the entire code presented with each option in order to get the text or banner you want and in order to get credit for the sale.
You affiliate id is 320429. When you copy the entire box per instructions and place it on your site where you want it, Change the top to read "blank" (including the quotes) so it will open in a new window. The customer will see "Make $1,000+ per week from home - in travel! Click Here!".
If you do this you will get credit for the sale. If you use the link you clicked on to view the ad out of curiosity, you will not get credit for the sale. Things are the way they are for a reason, and the reason is to make sure you get credit for the sale.

Sandi, Thanks so much for your help. I don't believe I totally missed that menu for the banners. Little by little I am figuring this out. I did figure out that most of the time when you click on those headlines, you do get the correct link. You just have to be careful. It makes it more difficult to get the correct link when you write your own add don't use theirs. I'm having trouble finding the bizopp adds for home business e-wealth. the closest thing that I can finde is ecoquest web building. Do you know if that is right? Then there is the Xango add which I am sure leads to someone's site. I have a Xango site of my own. I don't want to be sending people to someone else's site. How do I work that one? I was planning on putting Xango on my site, I'm wondering if I do it independently if it would be ok. I know I would lose the bizopp lead comission. I'm getting there..........slowly but surely Vicki
