Good Morning everyone,
I was thinking about purchasing another domain name and doing another website. I know I can host it on IPower, but I don't need another account there do I? I can save the new website on my current account, but under what name? I now have my current one listed under index.php, what do I name my new one for Ipower.
I don't want it as a sub domain, but as a seperate website. Nancy ;D

Nancy,
The best thing to do is call Ipower. They will walk you through the whole process, OR go into Vdeck and click Domain Manager then click subdomain manager. This is where they tell you how to "point" a new domain name to your account. I think you are allowed 5.
Hope this helps.

Hi Nancy, As Cindi suggested, probably the best thing to do is call iPower to set this up. Note that I had responded to a similar inquiry you made on this subject about a month ago here: erichw33.proboards53.com/index.cgi?board=web&action=display&thread=1189867052As I noted in that post, I haven't done this myself as of yet, but I did ask them about it once on the phone quite a while ago.... They basically said they would create another subdirectory inside of your iPower account for your new domain's files to go into, and they would point your domain name at this new directory. This would be for a whole new domain name, not a subdomain of your currrent domain name. Right now your current domain's files are hosted inside the public_html directory, so I assume that they would make another directory similar to that for each additional domain that you wish to host in your current iPower account. Thanks Troy, I had forgotten I had asked that question and you answered. I'm sorry. Just chalk it up to another bout of senior moments. Thanks for your answer, I will call Ipower today and let everyone know what they say just in case someone else has a similiar question. Nancy
