I am having trouble with my book mark again. Sometimes it works and then other time forget it! What can I do to fix this problem once and for all? Thanks in advance, Jan G

Hi Jan, I have moved your thread from the Phase 2 board to the Designing & Developing Website board of the forum, which is the best place to get help with HTML and other technical web site development issues with your site. I took a quick look at the bookmark feature on your web page. The button code itself on your page appears fine, however your actual bookmark script is completely missing from inside the <head> section of your source code. There are two sections to a bookmark button, the Javascript code inside the <head> section that makes it work, and the piece of code you place somewhere inside the body of your page itself that makes a button or link which triggers your bookmark script. Your page only has the latter piece of code present. To fix this, find the closing </head> tag inside your source code, and add the following script just before it: <!-- BOOKMARK BUTTON SCRIPT - This means that you can place a bookmark button anywhere on the page --> <!-- do not change anything in this script, the global variables make it aware of your page title and url --> <Script Language = "JavaScript" Type="Text/JavaScript"> <!-- var urlAddress = this.location; var pageName = document.title; function addfavorites() { if ((navigator.appName == "Microsoft Internet Explorer") && (parseInt(navigator.appVersion) >= 4)) { window.external.AddFavorite(urlAddress,pageName); } else if (navigator.appName == "Netscape") { window.sidebar.addPanel(pageName,urlAddress,""); } else { alert("Please press CTRL-D(Netscape) or CTRL-T(Opera) to Bookmark this site!"); } } // --> </script> I copied this out of the basic TOPS page that Premium TOPS members receive, which already has both parts of the bookmark code implemented right from the start. The only change I made was the name assigned to the bookmark function. The basic TOPS page uses addToFavorites(), while the bookmark button you currently have implemented in your page uses addfavorites(). So, I change the function name to addfavorites() in the script code above to match it. It doesn't matter what this name is, however it has to match in both sections of your bookmark code. One other unrelated issue I noticed inside your <head> section near the top of your source code is that you have 7 different sets of <title> and </title> tags for some reason. You only need one set. What goes in between these <title></title> tags sets your page name that is displayed in the title bar of the web browser. It also determines the display name that appears in the bookmarks list for those who bookmark your site, unless you edit the above bookmark code's variable (var) declarations to set a specific display name. You can find more information about the bookmark code in the Website Creation Tool Kit FAQ board of the forum in the following post: Adding a Bookmark Buttonerichw33.proboards53.com/index.cgi?board=tool&action=display&thread=1143746934Hope this helps.
