Hi, I just submitted my page for Phase I approval, however was curious about a couple of things and Lori suggested I post the 'errors' questions here. So, here are the questions: 1. Should I be concerned that when my page is pulled up, in the left bottom corner of the screen it reads - 'Done, but with errors on page' ? 2. I noticed that the CSS Code does not appear in the html page of VDeck, but when I pull up in NVU it is there? Also, my Bookmark did not work and I fixed it by adding the code back that VDeck seemed to of deleted??? Then I pull up in NVU and the Bookmark code is there twice. Is this normal? Again, thanks for all your help. Richele

Hi Richele,
The message "Done, but with errors on page" in the bottom-left corner of your Internet Explorer window indicates that there are script errors in your page, however the browser is able to display the page.
Generally speaking, I find that almost all such errors in people's sites here tend to be errors with the mouseover code for links, which is actually Javascript code.
In your case, I double-clicked on the yellow ! mark indicating the errors in the lower-left corner of my Internet Explorer window, and stepping through the details box with the Previous/Next buttons tells me that there are 3 errors on your page.
They are all relatively close together on lines 372, 375, and 378, which correspond to the "Click Here" links in the bottom row of your three ads in a row table. Those are the line numbers indicated by Internet Explorer...the actual line numbers may vary in your particular editor, depending on how it formats the source code.
Here is the entire section of code in question containing all three errors...note that the errors are being caused by the exact same problem in all three instances:
<CENTER><B><A onmouseover="window.status=Type at Home'; return true" title="Top Rated Work at Home" onmouseout="window.status=''" href="http://www.KeyBoarding4Cash.com/coupon/13943" target=_blank><U>Click Here</U></A><BR><IMG style="WIDTH: 36px; HEIGHT: 36px" alt="Turning Dollar Sign" src="http://earnsubstantialincome.com/Images/dollarsign.gif"></B></CENTER><BR></TD><!-- Row 4, Cell 2--> <TD class=ad_text width="34%"> <DIV style="TEXT-ALIGN: center">This is perfect for stay at home moms, students retired, or anyone interested in honest legitimate part time work at home. Tired of scams and money games? Why not try the simplest Work at Home Opportunity in the World...it really works! No cost FREE Affiliate Program to get started. Get Paid to type ads and fill out surveys. <BR></DIV><BR><BR><BR> <CENTER><B><A onmouseover="window.status=Paid Surveys'; return true" title="Work at Home Income" onmouseout="window.status=''" href="http://www.paidsurveysetc.com/coupon/13943" target=_blank><U>Click Here</U></A></B></CENTER></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><!--=== End 4th Row ===--><!-- End of 4 line Ad Code -->
I highlighted the three sections in red that contain the errors in the above portion of your source code. Here is the first one:
onmouseover="window.status=Type at Home'; return true"
The problem is there is a missing single quote ' between the = sign and the letter T in Type. In other words, the phrase 'Type at Home' should be enclosed in single quotes, but one of the quotes is missing, causing the error. The above line should actually read as follows:
onmouseover="window.status='Type at Home'; return true"
The problem is the same in the other two instances that I indicated in red above. Just insert the missing single quote ' in each of those three locations and this should take care of your errors.
When you mention the HTML page of vDeck, are you referring to the vDeck online HTML editor? If so and you are using NVU offline as well, then I would not recommend going back and forth between them and using both editors, as they treat the page's code differently and you'll end up duplicating some of your edits (like what happened with your bookmark code) or causing other problems.
The reason I say this is because I'm pretty sure that the online vDeck editor does not show you the important <head> section of your page at all, which includes internal CSS stylesheet code or a link to an external CSS stylesheet, any scripts such as the bookmark script that are normally placed inside the <head> section, etc.
I also don't think that the online vDeck editor supports the implementation of internal or external CSS during the display of your page in the editor so your page will appear differently, as if the CSS code was missing.
Because of these limitations, you would have to edit your page offline in NVU or some other editor in order to be able to access the <head> section and have the CSS code properly implemented. At least, that has been my experience with the vDeck editor, and the above are the main reasons I don't care for it.
Basically, the online vDeck editor is rather limited and doesn't give you as much control over your page as a full-featured editor would that is installed on your own computer.
One other suggestion I'd like to make is to get rid of the wide banner in your right column for ROI Rocket about 2/3 of the way down your page just above the small Google links unit. The code for the banner in question appears as follows:
<TD vAlign=center align=middle><!-- YOU CAN SIMPLY REPLACE ALL THE CODE FROM BELOW THIS COMMENT TO THE NEXT COMMENT THAT SAYS, REPLACE TO HERE, WITH THE CODE SUPPLIED TO YOU BY THE CAMPAIGN COMPANY --><BR> <P align=center><A href="http://launch.roirocket.com/z/121/CD46446/" target=_blank><IMG alt="Earn $14 per lead--FREE PRODUCT!" src="http://launch.roirocket.com/42/46446/121" border=0></A></P><BR><BR><!-- REPLACE TO HERE --></TD>
The reason I suggest that you get rid of it or replace it with a different size ad is because it is too wide for your right column, so it is stretching it out considerably wider than it is supposed to be.
Hope this helps.

Hi Troy,
WOW, Awesome! Thanks for your great input and fix! I don't like working with VDeck at all either, however I thought that since it is the hosting server that once I had my page to where I liked it I could just do the tweaks there.
I will fix the codes and change my ROI banner! Thanks again.

Hi Richele,
You are welcome. I believe the vDeck editor is provided for convenience for those people who do not have another HTML editor of their own and is probably handy for those new to HTML wishing to create their own site for the first time.
However, in our case, it would be better to use our own editor and do all of the changes locally on our own computers, then upload the changed files. Besides adding consistency to the editing process, this also provides you with a current backup of your web page on your computer in case something happens to the online version of the page.
We have had a couple of people here earlier this year who had their web hosting accounts hacked into and their files all removed and replaced, so all their hard work would have been gone if they didn't have a copy of their web page saved on their own computers as well. Granted, the odds of something like this happening to you are pretty low, but it does happen on occasion.
Always think security with your important data like your web page files. Always keep current backups of them...saving them to CD or other removable media on a regular basis is strongly recommended. Also make sure that the password for your hosting account is very secure and unlikely to be guessed by anyone, and it is even a good idea to change it on occasion.
Hope this helps.
