Hallo all Working hard on editing my site since one week. Finally today frustrated very much, when I saw my site after uploading to Ipower from NVU. No links open in new window. No pictures are there. Where is the problem ? In Phase 1 instructions I was directed to use NVU. Is there any way to correct my site ? Please help me out. You will need to upload all your images to your Image Directory at iPower. This should be in your public_html. Sign on to iPower (vDeck) Click on Host Manager Click on File Manager Click on public_html There you should see an Image Directory. If there is not one there, you will need to create one. Go down to the bottom of the page to "create new directory". Type in the name for your dIrectory (in this case it would be "images") and then click on "create". Now you have an Image Directory. You will have to go into this directory and upload all of your images. As far as your links opening in a new window, another option using NVU would be to highlight the link. Then go to "Link" in your toolbar and click on it. A box will open and if you look half way down, you will see the option to have link "open in a new window". Your website is still not showing in your signature. We have no way of checking your site without a link or your URL. Lori

Hi Rishi, When putting your web site URL into your forum profile, make sure that you've completed step 4 from the FAQ post I mentioned. It reads as follows: 4. Click on the Modify Profile button at the bottom of the page to save your web site URL and any other changes that you made to your profile. If you don't click this button then your changes will be lost. If you don't click the button to save your changes then your profile won't actually update. If it's opening links into new windows that you're having trouble with, there is a tip posting in the NVU board with posts from myself and replies from a few others detailing a few different ways to do this. You can find it here: erichw33.proboards53.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=nvu&thread=1160464221The title mentions images, but there's info in there for opening text links into new windows as well. Hope this helps. Troy

rishi, When you add your link, you shouldn't put your web address in it. Some of your links dont open at all because your web address is in it too. Example; one of your links look like this www.homewebjobs.com/www.keystrokes4cash.com/coupon/15908It should look like this www.keyboarding4cash.com/coupon/15908 Make sure you are copying them exactly like they are on the affiliate page. Check out Lori's post again about your images. I'm not sure whats happening there. Charlotte

Rishi I was working on my website, and got the same problem as you did with your links. When I sign in to traffic payouts, there is a page that shows up that gives me important updates. On that page, are the links that are mine, and I thought I could just copy those links and put them on my website. WRONG, I copied and pasted them into my site, then checked them to make sure they worked. Every one of them had my web address before the actual link. So I had to go back and fix them. You will have to go back to each individual offer they have and get your link off of that offers page, unless of course you want to have to go back and fix each link later. I just thought I'd let you know, you did it the correct way, but they came from the wrong page. BUT, I had to do the same thing myself before I figured out how you did it I hope this makes sense?! Hi Rishi, I'm sure that Lori and several others would advise you to keep your links underlined as it makes it easier for visitors to your site to know what they can click on (underlined links are my preference as well), however this is completely optional. Some people don't like their links underlined on their sites for appearance reasons and so forth, and it is up to you whether or not to underline your links. If you wish for the titles in the three ads in a row table to not have underlined links, you can easily change this in one place your your page's CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) code. Look for the following section of code inside your page's <head> section near the top: .ad_title { font-size: 20px; font-weight: 500; font-family: Times; border-color: #999999; background-color: #9fb6cd; } .ad_title a { color: #000080; text-decoration: underline; } .ad_title a:visited { color: #000080; text-decoration: underline; } .ad_title a:active { color: #CC6600; text-decoration:none; } .ad_title a:hover { color: #CC0000; text-decoration:none; } If you don't want your title links underlined, change the word underline that I have indicated above in red to none. There are actually two places in the above code where you should change this...the first one is for all unvisited links and the second one is for links that the site visitor has already clicked on and has thus already visited. As you can see above, there are 4 possible states for links...two have already been mentioned, and the other two are active and hover. Active is when the link is being clicked on, while hover is when the mouse pointer is just hovered over the link without actually clicking on it. As you can see, you can set your text style to be different depending on the state of a given link. This is why some links change color or the underline goes away when they're hovered over or clicked on, and why some links are a different color after you have visited them. Note that the above CSS code defines the ad_title CSS class...for a given link to use this class, it has to have class="ad_title" inside the link <a> code like this: <a class="ad_title" href="http://www.your-link.com"> This is just an example...there may be other parameters inside the <a> tag as well. In other words, the above fix only affects links that have class="ad_title" in them, such as the title links in your three ads in a row table (at least the ones near the top that I checked). There may be other class designations or none at all for other links on the page. Of course, you can change individual links as well so that they may be underlined or not...you can do this via your HTML editor (how you do it depends on what editor you're using), or you can do it via the source code by adding the following inside your link's <a> tag: style="text-decoration: none" This is referred to as an inline style...the above code removes the underline from the link it is specified for. To specify that the link be underlined (which is the default behaviour), use the following code instead: style="text-decoration: underline" Here is the example I used earlier with the inline style implemented, rather than a CSS class: <a style="text-decoration: none" href="http://www.your-link.com"> If you are using NVU, it has a CSS Editor feature that can be used to edit an internal CSS stylesheet such as the first piece of code I included in this post via a user-friendly interface. You can find a post with more information about the CSS Editor feature here, along with a brief explanation of how CSS works and the advantages of using CSS: erichw33.proboards53.com/index.cgi?board=nvu&action=display&thread=1160695646Hope this helps. Hi Rishi,
Troy is absolutely correct…I always recommend that clickable links be underlined. This way, your visitors know exactly where to click. But like he said…it is up to you.

Hi Rishi,
In your code you have this right above the real estate banner
<font color="blue"><strong></strong><strong></strong></font> <center><font color="blue"><strong><img src="stars5.gif"></strong></font></center> <!-- END OF SURVEY SCOUT AD -->
Delete the whole code and the image will disappear.
Happy Thanksgiving Nancy

Rishi, I tried your bookmark feature in both Internet Explorer and Firefox and it worked fine for me in both browsers. Have you since corrected the issue? If you need any further help, let us know.
