Hello every one,
My name is Brett and I think I have done pretty good about using the forum and finding answers to all my questions but some thing has come up that can't figure out. As I was editing my web page I got to where I wanted my google adsense banners. after putting them in and saving my changes that the next day there was and still is 5 other banners( titled Remote PC Administration) not only on the preview but in the editor itself (I'm using vdeck). I only intended to put 2 banners on. Also they are just kinda spread out in random places at the bottom of the page and don't seem to be in any tables that I have created. They appear to be adsense banners but I'm not sure exactly what they are or how they got there. And when I'm in the editor they seem to be clickable.(I have not tried to clicking on them) I would greatly appreciate any help and advice on this so I don't completely mess every thing else up and end up starting all over.
I also have not published any changes so if I need to do that in order for you see it let me know and I will.
One more question...
When putting in the terms of use and privacy policy I'm not exactly sure what the link is. Its just not coming to me for some reason.
I thank you for your time and efforts
Brett Haynes

Hi Brett, Yes, you will definitely need to publish your site and post your link so that we are able to view your page. We cannot offer any specific help with your web site without being able to see it. Actually, the best thing to do once you have your page published is to add your web site URL to your forum profile...see the following FAQ post and follow the directions there when you are ready to post your link: erichw33.proboards53.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=faq&thread=1184834593Also see the following post for more info on adding the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use pages to your site: erichw33.proboards53.com/index.cgi?board=website&action=display&thread=1173035363&page=1#1173058928If you store these pages in your public_html directory alongside your index.html homepage, the links to your pages will simply be "privacy.html" and "terms.html" or whatever you named your pages as. If the files are stored in the same directory as the currently displayed page then just the file name is sufficient as the link to the page. You can always link to them as your-domain-name.com/privacy.html and your-domain-name.com/terms.html if you wish, but it is not necessary to include the full URL in this case. Also note that Google AdSense code had to be added to your page in the source code view...if you paste AdSense code into your normal HTML editor window then it will make a mess of things, and you will have to delete out the code that you added (or load up a previously saved copy of your page) and go into your source code and insert it there in the appropriate location. You may also wish to take a look at the following post for more info about Google AdSense code: erichw33.proboards53.com/index.cgi?board=np1&action=display&thread=1175264933&page=1#1175295635Hope this helps. hey,
I think I got every thing ready for my first review except that these adsense ads just keep poping up on the bottom of my site. I have gone into the editor and deleted them several times but they just keep coming back and I don't know how to stop it. Could it possibly be some thing with my adsense account? Thanks for all the help

Hi Brett, I have moved this thread to the Designing & Developing Website board of the forum as it is more oriented towards technical web site issues and code problems...the Phase 1 boards are most useful for questions regarding the requirements of the Phase 1 instructions themselves and the various programs mentioned in them. If you wish to get rid of the two Google AdSense ads at the bottom of your page, you will have to go into your page's source code and delete the section that is displaying them. I looked quick and it appears you have a couple of sections enclosed in <IFRAME> and </IFRAME> tags...a similar issue was once mentioned in the following post as well: erichw33.proboards53.com/index.cgi?board=web&action=display&thread=1169759078&page=1#1169785259I've often noticed this happen when Google AdSense code is mistakenly pasted into a web page using an HTML editor's normal editing window. You would instead need to insert AdSense code directly into the source code view. Look for the following code near the bottom of your source code and delete it: <IFRAME name=google_ads_frame marginWidth=0 marginHeight=0 src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/ads?client=ca-pub-2977655753119855&dt=1194826846359&lmt=1194826846&output=html&slotname=9042204640&correlator=1194826846343&url=https%3A%2F%2Fhost272.ipowerweb.com%3A8087%2Fpanel%2Fbuilder%2Fnavigation%3Ffunc%3Dedit_page%26pageid%3D2100&ga_vid=750874838.1194826846&ga_sid=1194826846&ga_hid=1696353685&flash=9&u_h=768&u_w=1024&u_ah=740&u_aw=1024&u_cd=32&u_tz=-480&u_his=33&u_java=true" frameBorder=0 width=234 scrolling=no height=60 allowTransparency></IFRAME><IFRAME name=google_ads_frame marginWidth=0 marginHeight=0 src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/ads?client=ca-pub-2977655753119855&dt=1194826846406&lmt=1194826846&prev_slotnames=9042204640&format=234x60&output=html&correlator=1194826846390&url=https%3A%2F%2Fhost272.ipowerweb.com%3A8087%2Fpanel%2Fbuilder%2Fnavigation%3Ffunc%3Dedit_page%26pageid%3D2100&ga_vid=750874838.1194826846&ga_sid=1194826846&ga_hid=1696353685&flash=9&u_h=768&u_w=1024&u_ah=740&u_aw=1024&u_cd=32&u_tz=-480&u_his=33&u_java=true" frameBorder=0 width=234 scrolling=no height=60 allowTransparency></IFRAME> This should get rid of those two Google AdSense boxes at the bottom. Hope this helps. Troy
