In the current issue of website magazine SEO Tactics talks about using the tag rel="nofollow" to help gain higher page rank. It suggest for example to use the tag on links to privacy policy and other pages that are not as important or may have a negative impact on our page rank.
My question is, do we need to be using this tag on our links to products we promote.

David,
I have some SEO instructions that state unless you have made some type of agreement with the merchant that "nofollow" should be used to reduce links that do not give any page rank.

Hi David,
You should use the nofollow tag on all links that you don't want to bleed PR to. Don't use it on links to your internal pages and links to your link partners.
