When viewing exit links in my web stats I have one that goes to yada yada.sharasale.com/r.cfm. It directs me to page that says I have invalid link code. I checked my account for invalid links and it shows none. All links are working fine for me. Similar thing has happened with Peak Network links, where you are directed to affiliate page, yet all links work for me. Why would links work for me and not for visitor? Am I in the Bermuda Triangle? Any help is appreciated. Thanks Michael J

Michael,
Some offers are only available in certain countries. If your customer is getting an error, it could be that the offer isn't available in their country.

Thanks Michael J Hi Michael, Sorry I never got around to posting a response until now...this is just a guess on my part, but the problem could simply be that your web stats tracking software is not recognizing the affiliate link format that it is encountering. This is especially likely if it is whole companies' affiliate links that it is saying are invalid, such as all Peak Network links for example, even though the links work fine for you. The main thing is that the links actually work when they are clicked on with a browser. If they work for yourself in your browser, then they should work for visitors in their browsers as well, so I'd say you have nothing to worry about there. It may be that the web stats tracker you are using simply cannot follow the link due to not recognizing its link format, the redirect script code used by the destination web site, or for some other reason, but as long as you're sure that your links are working in a browser and you are getting hits on your affiliate links according to the affiliate companies' stats then I would not be too concerned about it. It may just be a bug or limitation with your own web stats tracking software. Troy

Thanks Charlotte and Troy,
It happened again yesterday with a Shareasale link, clicked on by a US visitor.
After the first incident I checked to make sure I had all the proper links code. All codes OK and links still work for me.
Shareasale account still shows no invalid links, but they do not show click for the one yesterday that webstats shows redirect to invalid code.
Would it be possible for someone to check my Shareasale links to see if they all work for you?
Maybe I shouldn't worry like you say Troy since they all work for me, but I would feel better if I knew they worked for others.

I checked one for AHBWA and one for GoFreelance (on the right side of your page) and they worked fine for me.

Hi Sandi Thank you for checking those links. Everything checks out OK with sharasale links and tracking of clicks on their end. No invalid links showing. I still have a problem with peak network. Sometimes a certain link when clicked takes you to their main page instead of offer page. I don't see how to get detailed stats from peak. Will contact them to find out more. Sandi, I see that you have a member signup on your site. Can you tell me where, how this is done? Is there software to buy or tutorial download? If you can help with this I would give you my first born! He just moved back in with me after being on his own for 2 years! Thanks Michael J

Can you be more specific as I wasn't aware I had one!
And about your first-born . . . . I think maybe thanks, but no thanks as one college student in-house is enough! ;D

Sandi
On your main page in left column in main menu, you have members list. A ways below that you have user sign in.
That is what I am referring to.

That site was created with post-nuke software and is w-a-y over my head. I have problems even with getting the basics done. I really don't know what was done to create it. Sorry.
