Are you talking the standard template? If so you can find it here: www.theworkathomeindex.com/template Your original sales page should be in your Phase 1 instructions, that will have the index. I am not sure Marlon, but I think I might have saved an earlier version of your website, when I was trying to help with something. Let me check my computer this afternoon to see if I still have it. Just save it to your desktop. Nancy

Click on the link to your site. Then click on the little arrow next to the green page rank bar on the Google Tool Bar. Click on Cached Snapshot of Page and you will see your page as Google saw it on February 14. Go to the very top left of your screen and click on View. From the drop down menu click on Source and you will get a text page (in Notepad) of your html code for that Feb 14 page. Save that page and/or (preferable AND) copy it onto whatever you use to work on your page. If it's NVU, MAKE SURE you copy and paste the code onto the blank page from the SOURCE tab.

Sandi,
It is simply amazing what I learn from others on this forum. I never knew that was there, and to top it off, I could have used it a couple of months ago, instead of redoing my whole website.
That is great Nancy

Nancy, Yahoo caches your page forever. You can go back years if you want and see what your page looked like. I look at my original TOPS page and cringe Cindi PS: I tried the link you gave and I couldn't get the template to come up. I looked for it this morning trying to help and when I couldn't get it to come up I didn't post the link

I did not know about Yahoo - that could come in handy. How do you find that?

Go into yahoo search engine and type in your url: www.whatever and when you cache page comes up, you will see a blue link that says internet archive. Go look, it is pretty funny. You can look at any one's web page this way. Cindi

Also will I be able to get a updated template jobsplusdirect.comI don't understand... what do you mean you cannot create another index.html file? That does not make any sense. Just FTP onto your domain using FTP software such as SmartFTP, Cute FTP, or FileZilla, and transfer a new index.html file into your public_html directory. I don't understand why you would need iPower to create a new one for you... that just doesn't sound right. Using Jim's template is one option, but you could also start out with your basic TOPS web page. The TOPS web page was developed using Jim's template as the base, so you will get a head start on adding items onto your page by using the TOPS page. Just log into the members area, rebuild your page using the TOPS page builder, and then use the TOPS FTP Client to transfer your TOPS page onto your domain. Once the TOPS web page is on your domain, use FTP software to transfer the index.html file back onto your computer so you can begin making changes to it. I highly recommend that you do NOT use the iPower vDeck page builder to develop your site. It is far better to use NVU/Kompozer on your computer and then FTP the files up to your domain after you have completed your changes. Tom

Hi Marlon, I took a quick look at your page, and the biggest problem with your images is that you are pulling them off of other people's web hosting accounts, otherwise known as hot linking, and having them display on your page directly from those outside hosts. As Lori said last Oct. during one of your initial site reviews, this is a "no no" (her post was here - it looks like you made a new forum account since then). Some web hosting accounts are set to block outside sites linking directly to their images in this manner, and that appears to be the issue here. Either that, or those web hosts no longer have these particular images stored on them, at least not in the same location or under the same name. This is one of the problems with hot linking, you have no control over other people's hosting accounts. For these and various other reasons, you should save the images to your own web hosting account and link to them on there. Please see the posts in the following thread for more information related to this topic: erichw33.proboards53.com/index.cgi?board=website2&action=display&thread=1182568366&page=1#1184593257To get an updated 2008 Top Pick image for your site, there are a few provided in the following sticky thread at the top of the forum's General board. The direct link to the thread is here: erichw33.proboards53.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1199240928If you'd like more information about adding images and linking to them, Jim's TOPS Help Files tutorial site is a good source of information: www.theworkathomeindex.com/topsYou can also find lots of information regarding placing images on web pages in several different threads in the forum. The following thread has some info and links to a few other such threads: erichw33.proboards53.com/index.cgi?board=p1&action=display&thread=1170361753&page=1#1170400886If you're using NVU or KompoZer (which is basically a newer version of NVU - links to these HTML editors can be found in the Phase 1 instructions inside the TOPS members area), one tip is to make sure that the "URL is relative to page location" check box is enabled in the link properties page, otherwise NVU tends to make absolute URLs pointing to your computer's hard drive, which won't work online. Hope this helps. Troy
