Does it really matter whether you are a .com or a .net? Does one get more traffic over the other, or is a matter of personal preference?

I don't think there is much difference. The one thing you have to remember that if the .com version of the url is taken and you pick the .net, you are going to have to compete with the .com. People who have a really good .com purchase all the others so that no one else can compete with them. I would investigate the .com before I purchased the .net. You may not want to be associated with what the other url is publishing. Cindi

I think .com is widely popular commercially then after .Net is developed .... I think it is not much difference for me.
If you give just your domain name they use " youur domain name. com first and use .net after that.
