Question: Does anyone know if there is or would a problem with using a frame html that opens the click bank pages for our clickbank url links. I tried this on an experiment with survey scout The link appears as www.futureadvantage.net/surveywhen I right click on the open web page I see my clickbank url (properties).

Hi Michael, It would not be advisable to use a frame html page for your Clickbank links. To quote one of Clickbank's FAQs on this topic: "14. Will I get referral credit if I hide hoplinks by making them open into a frame, iframe, layer, applet, image, or other sub-window object? No. These are illegal hoplinks. For security reasons, and to ensure proper tracking of your referrals, all hoplinks must be targeted to the top level of a new or existing window." You can find this and other related information in Clickbank's hoplink FAQ at the following link: www.clickbank.com/hoplinkfaq.htmlI'd advise reading the entire FAQ, but you may wish to pay particular attention to points 12 through 18, which deal with how you can use your hoplinks, popups/popunders, and various link cloaking methods and still successfully receive the referral for the potential customer. Hope this helps. Troy

I'm using a version of the code Stirls gave, and I haven't had a sale since I changed. Am I doing something wrong? When I click on one of my links and proceed to the payment page, I see my affiliate id at the bottom, so I thought all was well.
The code I'm using:
<b> <HTML>
<HEAD> <TITLE>CompanyName</TITLE> </HEAD>
<FRAMESET> <FRAME SRC="http://myclickbankID.company.hop.clickbank.net"> </FRAMESET>
</HTML></b>

Yes, I know. I'm not sure how to control this, I wanted to make them all red, but some of them insist on being blue.

Help! I cloaked all my links 4 days ago, and haven't had a clickbank sale since. Is there something wrong with my cloaking that deletes my credit?
When I click on any of my clickbank links and go from there to the sales page, it shows my id at the bottom, so I though everything was ok.
I've done quite a bit of changing to my page as well, and was wondering what everyone thought of it. Any feelback would be appreciated, as I obviously need quite a bit more optimization. Thanks!

Thank you Didier, Ever so much. I believe it is working now. Does anyone else have any feedback for my site?
I was making regular clickbank sales. Not anything to write home about, but I was beginning to break even. Then suddenly , Monday, they stopped. It's almost like someone found a way to hack into my clickbank account and rerout my sales. I really doubt if that's possible, but my traffic hasn't diminished, and the only change I made to my page was to cloak my links.
It's becoming a great, and I must say, very expensive mystery.
Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Hi Debbie,
Just did a quick look at your site.
The images under "Top Rated" in the top left column and "The insider's secrets to marketing your business......" in the middle lower section are not showing up.
Really like the changes you have made!

Thank you, they should be fixed now.
I thought the light colors might be more attractive for summer, but I haven't noticed any difference yet.
Thanks again

Another problem with a cloaked link in a frame page is that the CB page will not look secure in IE. Only if the link open in a new window. I think.

Hi everyone,
Close to a year ago, someone emailed me a software( I am not sure if I should call it a software) called "The Web Army Knife". This is the only tool I use to cloak my links and it is pretty easy to use.
If anyone here is interested in it, please do email me through this forum and I would be happy to email it to you.

I always wondered what that "Web Army Knife" thing that came with some other bonuses was. Does it do anything else?

Thanks in advance for any ideas. Hi Debbie, It seems a bit too much of a coincidence to me that your Clickbank sales suddenly stopped right after you cloaked your links. If you suspect that the link cloaking you used for your Clickbank links might possibly be preventing you from receiving credit for your referrals, then you might want to take another look at the post I made to Michael near the top of this thread here and the FAQ that it links to. On that page, Clickbank gives info on what will work for Clickbank hoplinks and what won't. It includes a couple of Clickbank-approved sample code segments for cloaking their hoplinks as well. They clearly state in point #14 of their FAQ here that "all hoplinks must be targeted to the top level of a new or existing window". It appears that you are opening your links in a frames page with a URL from your own site showing in the address bar, so it's quite possible that this frames page is the cause of you not receiving credit for your referrals. You might just be providing free traffic to the landing pages of the various offers (free to them, that is...certainly not free to you). If you want to cloak your links while retaining your referrals, I suggest that you use one of the methods recommended by Clickbank on their FAQ page just to be safe. By the way, I just visited your site for the first time in quite a while, and I hardly recognize it...I really like the "light" look that you have given it now. It looks really good and professional. The only suggestions I have at a glance are to maybe see if you can get the various items in the left and right columns centered a bit better inside those columns (I'm viewing from IE6) and perhaps make the length of the three columns more uniform. Right now the center column is way longer than the left and right columns, so maybe you can move a few items from the center to the side columns, or add a bit more to the side columns to make their length closer to the center column's. Not a big deal though. Troy

Hi Debbie,
I haven't had a CB sale in a week either. I was starting to see pretty steady sales of CB products until then. It coincides with CBs change to their sales page.
My links are not cloaked in a frame, so that's not my problem. Since others here still seem to be making sales, I guess I need to look on my end for the problem.

Hi Debbie, The Web Army Knife give you some great tools to wrk with, including the affiliate link cliaker. You just enter your desired doamin name like for click bank. You then get a code. You come up with an YOURSITE.com/XXXXXX.html and then you post only that. That way, you clickbank link is safe.

Ken, Wow. I didn't even know there were changes. I made one small sale today, so I'm breathing a little easier. At least I know things are working ok, and my sales aren't being routed to somewhere else.
Please let me know if you think of something.
Thanks
