Why does Google increase PPC for keywords to $5.00 and $10.00? Are they trying to discourage Work At Home WebSites?
I have bee running my ads with them for over 9 Months at about .40Cents a Click and they all of a sudden they keep raising my PPC's. It would seem that they are biting the hands that feed them. Is there a better option for advertising? If I have to stay with Google, is there a way around this situation?
Thanks,
BIll

Bill there are a lot of alternatives to advertising - make sure to read Phase 3 as there are several suggestions to how to advertise your site other than using PPC

Chris is correct... there are many ways to advertise other than PPC with Google. Read and study Phase 3. If you want to continue with PPC try starting anothe separate campaign with Google and see if that works.... also try MSN and Yahoo. The best ways to market are using the free strategies...

Thanks Chris and Erich!
I was having some success using Google until they raised it to ridiculous numbers! I hope I will not be going backwards by using something other than PPC. I have studied Phase 3 and I will go there again. I also will try MSN and Yahoo.
Thanks Again,
BIll

Bill - the reason Google raises the min bids on keywords is because they consider your page a low quality for the keyword you are targeting. This is called the "quality score" and if can be low for several reasons but the main reason is can be because you are targeting a keyword like "moms" and you landing page does not cater to moms so Google determines this a low quality. If you create a "work at home mom" specific page and direct traffic fromt he keyword "mom" to that page you may have better luck with Google becuase they will consider your landing page good quality for that keyword. It is worth a try but as Erich mentioned there are a lot of different ways to promote your site other than Google

Thank You all for your helpful advise!!!
I have tried everything with Google without much success. I have waited until the 1st of the year to start a campaign with Microsoft and Yahoo. I have been most impressed with Yahoo so far. They have sent me a "Sponsored Search Campaign" which is very detailed and professional. They have called me several times to go over every detail to my complete satisfaction. I was concerned about their up-front payment policy, but they have assured me that not only will I have complete control over my budget, I will also be able to pause or stop the campaign with a full refund if the desired results are not there. So far the results exceed that of Microsoft ad center as I am keeping both campaigns running for comparison.
Thanks Again For Your Great Help!!!
