I decided to take one my online businesses and strictly do free advertising with it. after about a week I started to see some pretty good results. I had an average of 300 visits a day, which I think is quite resonible seen how these were from people who wanted to come to my site. Sorry for the lengthy guide, but anyways here it is:
If you are strictly doing free advertising you need to be able to place about 150-300 ads a day to have a good chance at succeeding. This isn't as big of a deal as it may sound, I have found after setting everything up, I can place an ad in about 30 - 60 seconds. That would mean it should take you about 2-3 hours to place the ads you need daily. This isn't a huge amount of time, especially if advertising is the biggest part of your job. Again 150-300 ad placements are only necessary if you plan to only do free advertising. Below is the steps you need to do in order to start placing these ads.
1. Register at about 15-30 advertising sites, with a spare email account as you will recieve a ton of email in this account. Bookmark these sites, in mozzila you bookmark a group of sites so they open all in one window, kinda handy)
2. Next, in a word document write the passwords down in one area (also look at getting roboform as it can remember the site and password for that site to log you in automatically)
3. Now in the word document start writing down some advertising ads, you should have as many as possible. Start off with about 10-20 and just keep adding throughout the weeks.
Example: for a work at home business
Quit wasting Money on Hype
Join the #1 work at home opportunity
No Selling, Not MLM, fully automated
URL
Keep in mind some sites have limits to the size of ads.
4. Open your bookmarked sites, and start posting your ads. You want to place as many ads as you can, but keep in mind not to spam only post in areas where your ad belongs.
Say one site you post the ad in "work at home" section, then in the same site you would post a different ad in "MLM" section, then in "business opportunities" and so forth. So if you were to post 5 ads on one site you want to make sure you use different advertisements with each ad you put on that site. This is because if you place the exact same ad on the same site it will just be rejected.
So all you should have to do is simply "copy and paste" your advertisements and send it.
Below are some sites that are easy to use and are free:
groups.yahoo.com
www.ablewise.com
www.classifiedsforfree.com
www.ourclassifieds.org
www.classifiedads.com
www.webclassifieds.us
www.inetgiant.com
You can simply search for sites on google, there are literally millions out there.
Note* Another thing to keep in mind is to delete old ads every once in a while, especially if you have to login to place ads.
Note** Classifieds aren't the only area to place ads or promote your product. Forums, blogs, myspace, facebookl, business cards, flyers, newsgroups, emails, there are tons of ways. Thinking outside the box will always get you more response because of the competition factor.
