I have had my website online for approx. 4 months now. I am not making a cent on the site. I have changed some of the information on my site to keep it fresh and still nothing! Maybe someone in the forum can take a look at my site and give me some ideas. I would appreciate it. Thanks, Jan Griffin

I have had my website online for approx. 4 months now. I am not making a cent on the site. I have changed some of the information on my site to keep it fresh and still nothing! Maybe someone in the forum can take a look at my site and give me some ideas. I would appreciate it. Thanks, Jan Griffin Jan, I don't see your url so we can take a look at your site, but don't get discouraged, because the system works. Thank god, I have been profitable every month since I started. Until we see your site, I can only suggest the following: 1. Go back over Erich's phase material. You need to ensure that you have done everything that is suggested. People often pick and choose these very important things. I know I did a bit, but I think in every case where I did (looking back) he was right. 2. Of course once you get your site up and have finished phase III ( most people don't listen to Erich and start before phase III) then you need to get people to your site either through (PPC) Paid Per Click or free advertising. There are many ways to do this. I almost want to be selfish and not say this, but I will anyway. Start writing Articles, Articles and when you get tired write some more articles. The reason why I think Erich wants you to be in Phase III before advertising is so that you have all the opportunities on your site, thereby giving you the best chance to succeed. This is one of the few areas where I did not listen as closely as I should have. I was wrong. I made profit each month, but if I had waited another month or so and concentrated on getting my site fine tuned I would have made more money over the long run, because you end up spending the time at some point doing what we should have done in the first place. When you do it the wrong way you pay for your mistakes. If you follow the instructions, ensure your links are working properly and then get people to your site. You will be successful. There are many people on this forum who are much more successful than I that can help you more I'm sure. I hope this helps. Mike C

Hi Jan, I believe you made it to phase 3 sometime around the very end of October? Mike has given you good advice and as he mentioned, if you were promoting your site before having phase 3 instructions…that really is not recommended. In addition, that Nov and Dec are probably the slowest times of the year. I see you have made changes to your site, which is advised to do as far as testing your ads and keep tweaking your site. BUT, you have changed it to the point where it does not follow the instructions. Following the instructions to the “tee” is very important to your success. First thing I noticed…I could not see your right sidebar at all. I actually thought at first that you didn’t have a right side bar. Your site is waaaay tooooo wide. Your visitors are not going to spend the time to use the bottom scroll bar…they are going to click away and find another site that is user friendly. Although, you may like “cricket’s” photo…the first thing I would think is that your website is going to be some kind of “pet” home business. Yet another reason your visitor may click away from your site if they are not in the least bit interested in having a pet business. You have not updated the year from 2007 to 2008. Keeping everything updated and professional looking is important….which brings me to these few points… You have missing titles and descriptions from your 3 row ads??? You have removed all small images from your 3 row ads. I could not find your bookmark. The date and clock is not working. All of the things I mentioned are vital to have before you can successfully promote your site. It is like removing the main ingredients in a recipe…you wouldn’t remove the flour and sugar in your favorite cookie recipe??? Well, maybe the date and clock is not vital, but if you’re going to have it on your site…it should be working. But anyway, please go thru phase 3 instruction. Not once, but over and over again. Every time I would read thru the instructions…I would always learn something new. Please take your time with it. One more thing…it is recommended to also add a newsletter. Also, unless I missed it…I don’t see any data entry business or typing offers near the top of your page…these offers convert very well. I hope this helps. Lori PS: I am going by the website address you were reviewed for www.griffsincomeforlife.com It would help to add your website in your signature… erichw33.proboards53.com/index.cgi?board=faq&action=display&thread=1184834593

You have already been given some excellent advice from those who know what they are talking about so I don't have much to add.
The bottom line is that you really need to follow the program as closely as possible to achieve the kind of results others are getting. You must also stay on top of your website and keep it up to date with all the latest offers and information.
Two quick things I notice is that you have a blank in the middle of your first ad row and are still using the 2007 graphic.. We have been into 2008 for almost 20 days now so I wonder if you really are keeping up to date with the offers???
We always give the most exposure to the companies that convert the best for us...

Hi Jan,
I wasn't necessarily profitable for the first 4 months in TOPS. I continued to read, read, read - especially the phase instructions over and over. I talked to the PPC companies about ways to optimize, and just kept trying and it eventually began to pay off. I continue to have set backs, and sometimes, my life just gets way to busy to 'do it all'. But I'm in profit mode and you will be too. Try to get past your discouragement with the program. Just because you haven't seen it work yet, doesn't mean it won't. Many of us are living proof of that. Some people have understood the principles well enough to get into profit mode right off the bat. But others take a little more time.
I suggest you really focus on article writing and some of the other free or lesser costs for marketing to practice up. Follow the instructions you've received here to make your website even better. Then really practice with those free classified ads before going back full throttle to PPC advertising - since it's more expensive. Continue to try. I believe you will succeed.

;DHi Jan,
You have received good advice..I just want to say that article writing is a wonderful way to get your site noticed by other people. If you are not sure what to write about at this time, go to ezine article sites and see what others are writing about. Not only will it help you in your business, but it will give you some great ideas about what to write about.
Make the corrections to your website that others have mentioned then use both free and paid advertising. It might be slow, but you will begin to see a profit soon.
Take it a step at a time, and you will get there.
