I offered $10 GC to all my affiliates who haven't upgraded. We'll see what happens.

I normally offer a $10 GC to any affiliate that completes Smart Start.
I actually had one take me up on it this past week.

I was just telling myself "Well, that didn't work," when I got the sample letter in my mailbox just now.
Evidently the post just went out. We'll see if there are any replies.

Hi Debbie,
Are you saying there's a delay on SFI sending the offer of gift certificates to our affiliates?
I didn't see anything about that on the website but I did think it was strange that I received no notification that the offers had been sent.

I has notice up to almost a days, for and single test message I send to mineself to each me. Group message are faster, but at the end of the month they also are slower in deliverly. from SFI "IMPORTANT: SFI reviews Contact Manager messages created by affiliates to ensure they meet SFI guidelines. Messages submitted after 4 p.m. CST on Fridays and on weekends and non-business days will be delayed until it can be reviewed during normal business hours." Roy Hi Debbie, Are you saying there's a delay on SFI sending the offer of gift certificates to our affiliates? Individual messages sent through Contact Manager go out immediately. Group messages get in line. As far as I know, you always get a copy of what you sent and my experience is that it can take anywhere from several hours to several days. So if you send a "fire sale" type message (upgrade to EA before the end of March and get all this great stuff for free from me!) a day or two before the end of March it might not get delivered until somewhere in the first week of April and you will look like an inept idiot to your entire downline.
Plan accordingly and leave plenty of time - or use something other than Contact Manager.

I am new to this, but what I did was sent a $5 GC to the first code 70 affiliate to complete Fast Start. She is NOW an "EA" I will continue this and maybe up the $$$$ later

Great work Michael. Sometimes the gift certificate will be just enough to push the new affiliate toward that decision.

I used gift certificates pretty regularly with affiliates that completed Smart Start, but only about 10% used them. I also found that the best response was with $20 GC's. And if you get three or more in a month to upgrade you get $20 each business builder bonus so the ultimate cost is $0.

Hey Tim,
If it is working for you, keep at it. But personally, I think you need to be making something on the Builders Bonus - even if only $5 or $10.

I have not tried the letter yet but I have had an affiliate that was very interested in becoming EA. He expressed this with numerous emails I have shared with him. I decided yesterday to send him a Gift Certificate to see if that will give him the extra push to go EA. It worked, and now I have my first EA and from talking to the guy I think he will stick with it.
Just a testament that Gift Certificates do work. Now I will try Chris's letter on some of my affiliates and see how that works.

I just want to thank Chris for sharing that letter with us for Gift Certificates. I had another affiliate go EA today and then send me an email saying she would accept the Certificate. I am now a BTL and I hope these new EA's will stay the course with me.
Stirls definitaly deserves some karma for that.
