Hello Everyone!
My children have a friend who was in a car accident on her way to school this morning. She ran off the road and hit a drainpipe and sent her car airborne. She was airlifted to hospital. She was taken into surgery to remove her spleen. She is in ICU, on ventilator, blood on brain, bruised kidney and lung, broken collar bone, banged up badly. They will try to take off ventilator tomorrow hopefully.
Please pray for her full recovery and for her family.
Thanks! Robin

Robin,
I'm so sorry to hear the news about your friend and hope she will recover quickly and that her family will be blessed with extra strength. Life is so precious and we are all so vulnerable. I think we often forget just how much we take for granted, whether our loved ones, our health, our talents, our lives.... We are all so deeply indebted to God.

Hello everyone ~
Your prayers are working!! She is off the ventilator which is a great thing. She will be in ICU at least until sometime tomorrow as long as tonight goes well. She is still pretty drugged up but that is due to her head injury. She is nodding head when asked questions and squeezing hands.
We are all praying for them to be able to move her out of ICU tomorrow and let her wake up some. Everyone, especially her parents, need to know that she knows them and all is ok there.
Thanks for your prayers and concern! Robin

Robin,
Thanks for sharing her progress. It sounds like she still has a long way to go. But the fact that she is responding and is off the ventilator is good news.

Hello everyone!
Update ~ she has been moved to a private room out of ICU !!!!
They tried to bring her out of the sedation a little bit today but due to her injuries she seems to be in alot of pain so they are having to up that a little and just wait it out. We are all anxious for her to be brought out of that now and have her respond to everyone, etc.
The others things will heal but we are all so thankful for the answered prayers of off the ventilator and out of ICU.
Thanks to all of you for your prayers. Please continue to pray for her recovery. She is a senior in high school so we want her back as soon as possible for the rest of her senior year!
God Bless, Robin

Thanks so much for the prayers!!
She is talking now, got her up and walked her some but she was not happy about that, she recognizes/remembers everyone, etc..- Just having problems with things like year, month, etc. but they say that will all surface. She does not remember the accident at all.
If things progress like the doctors hope, she may even be able to go home by the end of the week!
Keep those prayers rolling! Thanks,
Robin
