Hey guys,
My cousin (42 years old) passed away early this morning after battling a rare cancer for 9 years. Her leg was amputated 9 years ago and in the last 5 years the cancer returned and spread. It has been one battle after another. We do know she is much better off and now will live each day beside our Lord and Savior with no pain!
Still, she has an 19 year old son she is leaving behind who lost his father years ago to a tragic accident. We selfishly will miss her here on earth.
Please pray for her son more than anything as he continues his life without either parent.
Thanks! Robin

Wow, Robin. I'm so sorry. I can really relate to that selfishly missing someone here on earth because that's how I felt when my mom passed away in 2001. You almost feel guilty because you know how much better off they are now!
Nevertheless we will pray for her son. By no means has a 19-year old finished growing up yet. (Trust me - I have one!) I hope others will come along side him for guidance and support cuz he's sure going to need it.

Robin
You and your family will have our prayers. I know this will be a hard time for your 2nd cousin, My only advice is to keep the doors open and let him know he has someone to talk to.

Hi Robin,
Life is so fragile and something we take so much for granted. I'm sorry to hear about your cousin. We also had a tragedy this week that reminded us of how precious life is and how quickly it can be taken away. I wish you the peace and strength that can only come from faith in a loving God at a time like this.

Hello everyone,
I want to thank you for your prayers and know that they are greatly appreciated. The comfort of prayer is amazing!
I can't help but be selfish even though I accept God's will and know how much better off she is with Him. I just am having a hard time accepting "why her", "why"! I know that is not the right thing to do but I am human and hurting!
Garrett, her son, is an amazing child. He has an amazing support system as we are a very close family and he has unbelievable friend support, etc.. I just know from experience, that all of that support cannot replace anyone and in those alone times (when you get in bed at night) ~ he will have a hard time getting through. He will survive - he is strong and has been through alot but.....
I feel such support from this Forum and it is a great feeling to be a part of "this family". How awesome is it that we can not only support each other in the business area but also in our prayers and concerns for each other.
Thank you all so much! Robin

I'm sorry for your loss. we always get a good dose of our own mortality when we lose someone close. Especially at such a relatively young age as your cousin. My good friend and cousin Roger lost his 18 yo son in a car accident about 9 mos ago and this was devastating to our family. So I have a good idea what you are feeling...
God bless you and your family!

Robin,
My prayers are with you and your family. I hope you are able to feel the prayers sent up for you. I remember sometime ago when we had a tragedy in our family I was astounded when I became aware that I was actually feeling the prayers of others it was awesome. I pray that you experience the same.
With His Love and Grace, Ruby

Robin, I am sorry I am late in offering our thoughts and prayers for you, your family, and your cousins family. I know you wrote not long about her and I am saddened to hear of the battle she lost. I hope and pray you will always be there for Garrett as well. God Bless Zeta and family

Thanks to all of you for your prayers and concerns during this difficult time. We all made it through with lots of tears but we did it. We do understand that she could no longer go on like she was and that it is time for her to be in a much better place. We take comfort in knowing this. We are all exhausted (emotionally) and I personally am taking the rest of the weekend just to relax and catch up on sleep, etc.. Please continue to pray for her son, mainly, as he returns to college and deals with his emotions over this loss.
Thanks again! Robin
