I just received word one of my neighbors is on the way to Alabama where their daughter is/has delivered a new grandbaby.. However the baby is two months premature. Pray that both the short term and long term health of this new born will be perfect... Michael

Michael-
I'll pray for the baby & for the parents too...my daughter came early too and it's very scary. It doesn't feel right leaving the hospital without your baby.

Just an update:
Talked with my neighbor this evening. The Baby (girl) came through the first critical 24 hours. weight is 1 pound and 8 oz. Grandmom asked that prayer be focused for completely overcoming the issues of a premature birth. I orginally stated the baby was about two months early, however she was three months early.
Thank you for your prayers for this fine family..

My prayers also for this family. Premature girls do better than premature boys, so she has that plus a lot of prayer going for her.
Be sure to let the family know we are praying. It does matter!

Sandi Thanks Sandi, I did share with family last night that I had posted to forum. As of this morning things are still positive. Dr.s will begin test to determine if any problems exist, that could have impact over coming weeks. Michael

Michael,
It's wonderful that she is born in 2007. It's a miracle that so many of these tiny preemies make it. And you would never know as they grow older, that they were preemies in the first place. 1 lb 8 oz is so incredibly small. Our friends had triplets last year. They weighed in at about 1 lb each. They were so tiny. But this year, they're so cute and big. They had a few eye problems, but other than that, they are growing and getting very busy!
We'll be anxious to hear your next report.

A person forgets how tiny a 6 lb baby can be (our friends had a baby a week ago and I loved holding her - so tiny) We will be praying for this tiny little girl. Keep us informed. Zeta

I have been our of pocket most of this past week with a Bible Conference at our church and tending to some family needs. However I talked with my neighbor this morning. The baby is doing well and showing steady improvements. They still request that we pray for continued and normal development of this precious little one. This includes full development of lungs, digestive system and neurological system. the next 3-4 months will be the most critical.

Oh, dear. There is nothing worse than the loss of a child. May they be comforted in the knowledge that she is safe in the presence of the Lord.
My prayers and deepest sympathies for the family.
