Hi everyone. I am having some trouble with my left handed column in NVU and insting new ads. I notice on the right hand side of my website between each ad/banner, or text there is a little yellow box with an exclamation point, and I am able to insert new things just fine. On the left hand side I am missing these little boxes, and it seems as though I can only insert on the top of my left hand side and then everything gets pushed down, so this is not letting me test my site and place ads in different places. Not a MAJOR issue....but enough to drive you crazy Any help would be appreciated. Shelly

Hello Shelly,
NVU, Those three little letters are enough to drive anyone who has truly experience the program crazy.
To fix your problem (in normal mode) click on the last item in that column, then switch to source mode. If it is cooperating then you will be looking at the code for the last item. If not then you'll have to find it. Just look for <---middle main content column---> or something similar to that.
Once you find it simply add <br> on the line before <---- middle main etc ---> . You can do this by adding it to the last string of code before the middle main identifier or hit enter to create a blank line then add it. This will create a break after the last item which will allow you to go back to normal view and be able to add something just below that last item. I normally will click just below it then hit enter a few times to create more space.
If you want you can add the ! box, I have some on my site but I find in the normal mode they're a nuisance, but in source mode they're very helpful. To do this you can simply cut and past a previous one then edit the name, or add it yourself by entering <!--- end left column --->,. There is a way to add it in the normal view but I can't recall how at the moment.
It isn't a very technical answer but I hope it helps
Michael
