Hi, I am trying to add images to my practice template. The image I have uploaded into vdeck is called "directorytitle.gif" and is called the same thing on my desktop. The following is what I am entering in Nvu:
<img src="http://www.onlinemoneyvillage.com/images/directorytitle.gif">
It is not working, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Hi Melissa, this can be the frustrating thing about web design, links to images have to be exact or they just won't work, plus nothing jumps up and says, it doesn't work and here's why, it just gives you that unhelpful "Not Found" page. All I can suggest is that you double check the spelling of the image name is exactly the same, also be aware of upper and lowercase because it has to match exact. Next, check that you have definately uploaded the image to the images folder in your public_html folder in vDeck. (It may not tell you it's public_html, but basically the images folder should be in the same location as your index.html file) Also, make sure it's a gif image and not a jpg image. Basically you have to double check everything. It's all very logical and it will work if it all makes logical sense. Without being able to go into your vDeck and look for myself I cannot tell you exactly why it's not working, but all I can tell you is that if it's all correctly uploaded and correctly linked to then it will work. This is how I learnt HTML, by making a lot of mistakes and learning from them, so stuff like this where you have to figure it out really helps your understanding of HTML Regards, Jim
