Hello, Mike VanWormer, When I installed TYPE-at-Home stream of income on my sight, and click on the link, it does not open another page, hence when a potential lead clicks out of the page, the whole page disappears, unless they use there BACK button on the browser. What would be a fix?? Thanks for any help! It is very appreciated! Used vdeck for the first time, its actually not bad!
Have a good one!
Mike

Mike,
If you are using vdeck then you can go into the HTML code of your page and after your url, type in:
target=_blank
It should look like this <a href="http://www.mydomainname.com/z/...."> you will enter the target=_blank after the " but before the >
so.... it will appear as.... <a href="http://www.mydomainname.com/z/..." target=_blank>
This will cause it to open in a new window and prevent visitors from leaving your site.
In NVU, when you add a banner, there is a place to click "open in a new window" when you adding the banner and it will do the same as above.

Hi Mike,
a bit of an addition to Robin's reply as you can also add in some other useful attributes to the link code. As well as getting it to open in a new window, as Robin has explained above, you can also set it up to change the message in the Status Bar (the grey bar at the bottom of the browser window) when someone hovers over it. So instead of it showing your long, complicated affiliate link, you can give a more positive message like "Work At Home, be your own boss, find out more now!".
Here's how:
<a href="http://affiliatelink.com" target=_blank onmouseover="window.status='Work At Home, be your own boss, find out more now!'; return true" onmouseout="window.status=''">
Simply add in all the bits in green and change the "Work At Home, be your own boss, find out more now!" message to anything you wish.
If you've got a TOPS site then you will notice that the original links have already been set up to do this.
Regards,
Jim
