I'm wanting to create a 1-section table with a header for text content to go along one side or the other of my webpage, just like one of the section in the three row table in the center of my webpage. I want to do this because I want to mix up the banners and the text ads . . . definately more text to lighten up my webpage.
Would the following be the correct code to use? Is the width correct? Have I left anything else out?
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
<table border="2" bordercolor="#666666" width="468"> <!--=== 1 Column, Title Row ===--> <tbody> <tr> <td style="color: rgb(255, 204, 102); background-color: rgb(255, 204, 102);" class="ad_title" align="center" valign="middle" width="33%"> <strong><a onmouseover="window.status='Prepare for a Strong Future!'; return true" onmouseout="window.status=''" target="_blank" href="http://www.quickinfo247.com/9449601/free" title="Prepare for a Strong Future!">Strong Future</a></strong> </td> </tr> <div class="ad_text"> Retired? Unemployed? Laid-Off, or Insufficient Income? Start your own Internet business from home. Build residual and leveraged income to create real wealth. World Wide Income System that REALLY WORKS! All it needs is you. FREE Training and support, websites and products all provided! - ZERO RISK! <br> <br> </div>
<div style="color: rgb(102, 0, 0);"> <b><a onmouseover="window.status='Prepare for a Strong Future!'; return true" onmouseout="window.status=''" target="_blank" href="http://www.quickinfo247.com/9449601/free" title="Prepare for a Strong Future!"><u>Click Here</u></a></b> </div>
<br> </td> _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Have a great day and thanks for your help.

Hi Cathleen,
You almost had it. If you want it to go ito one of your side columns, you need to narrow it down from 468 to about 125. You also let out some opening and closing tags.
Try this code. The red is the part I changed.
<table border="2" bordercolor="#666666" width="125" cellpadding= "5"> <!--=== 1 Column, Title Row ===--> <tbody> <tr> <td style="color: rgb(255, 204, 102); background-color: rgb(255, 204, 102);" class="ad_title" align="center" valign="middle" width="33%"> <strong><a onmouseover="window.status='Prepare for a Strong Future!'; return true" onmouseout="window.status=''" target="_blank" href="http://www.quickinfo247.com/9449601/free" title="Prepare for a Strong Future!">Strong Future</a></strong> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <div class="ad_text" align="center"> Retired? Unemployed? Laid-Off, or Insufficient Income? Start your own Internet business from home. Build residual and leveraged income to create real wealth. World Wide Income System that REALLY WORKS! All it needs is you. FREE Training and support, websites and products all provided! - ZERO RISK! <br> <br> </div>
<div style="color: rgb(102, 0, 0);" align="center"> <b><a onmouseover="window.status='Prepare for a Strong Future!'; return true" onmouseout="window.status=''" target="_blank" href="http://www.quickinfo247.com/9449601/free" title="Prepare for a Strong Future!"><u>Click Here</u></a></b> </div>
<br> </td> </tr> </table>

Thanks Ken . . . I'll get to this in the a.m. and get back to you. However, I have all the confidence in you and your skills, so I don't forsee any problems.

Hi Ken, The coding you gave me for the 1-column ad for the sides of my webpage worked out just fine. I had to tweak the width a little bit for aesthetic purposes, however, they look fantastic. Thanks! Now I have some minor issues that are really bugging me: 1. There seems to be coding for a duplicate traffic counter close to the top of my web page in the source. The one I want to show is the one at the bottom, left hand side under my Google Ad. How much of the traffic counter code toward the top, (counter doesn't show), do I delete? 2. Something isn't right with my date and clock. It seems to be stuck on Monday, January 8, 2007. How do I fix that? 3. The Grey background screen does not go all the way to the borders. There is a white strip on the right hand side, and a white strip just above, and below, my footer. How do I fix that? 4. I know that the text in my tables do not line up at the bottom of each table, but I'm not finished plugging in offers, so I'll adjust those later. Thanks Ken in advance for helping me sort out, and tweak, the above.

Hi Cathleen,
Delete this part of the top hit counter code:
<a href="http://www.traffichitcounter.com" target="_blank" title="Hit Counter" style="font-family: Geneva,Arial; font-size: 10px; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-decoration: none;"><br> </a>
To fix the clock, find this line:
<script src="index_files/clock.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
and change it to:
<script src="clock.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
To fix the white space at the top and sides find this line:
.maintable { BORDER-RIGHT: rgb(255,0,0) double; PADDING-RIGHT: 5px; BORDER-TOP: rgb(255,0,0) double; PADDING-LEFT: 5px; FONT-SIZE: 13px; PADDING-BOTTOM: 5px; BORDER-LEFT: rgb(255,0,0) double; WIDTH: 775px; PADDING-TOP: 5px; BORDER-BOTTOM: rgb(255,0,0) double; FONT-FAMILY: Arial; HEIGHT: 100%; BACKGROUND-COLOR: rgb(255,255,255) }
and change all the paddings to 0px
To get rid of the white around the footer, find this line:
.linkbar { BORDER-TOP: rgb(255,255,255) 3px solid; FONT-WEIGHT: 500; FONT-SIZE: 12px; COLOR: rgb(255,255,51); BORDER-BOTTOM: rgb(255,255,255) 3px solid; BACKGROUND-COLOR: rgb(25,25,112) }
Change both 3pxs to 0px

Thanks to you Ken, my webpage is really coming together nicely and lookin' real good to me. Your last 3 Exalts have been from me because you really know what you are talking about when it comes to HTML and trouble shooting. Thanks for talking me through fixing all those little things that have been bugging me for days. Your expertise is much appreciated!
