Having taken the time to "play around" with NVU as previously instructed, (in an attempt to get somewhere with it)...I'm still unsuccessful in placing an AdWords ad onto my site. As part of my educating myself, I started a blog and placed an AdWord ad there (successfully) so I know how simple it should be. Nonetheless, I copy the code, but here's where I'm not sure if what I'm doing is correct... 1. do I click on one of those little yellow boxes with the exclamation points in them so that it brings up another dialog box or.. 2. do I left click somewhere in the square that I want? 3. does it size up itself? 4. either way I'm ending up with words that appear much larger than what the actual ad should be 5. no matter what I view I click . I've tried to go to publish...I can't look at my web page as it would look with the google ads? ? Thanks anyone for helping Diana

Hi Diana, The yellow exclamation marks indicate comments in your code in NVU. You would not put your Google code in them as comments in your page don't actually do anything but make the source code more readable, so your Google ads will not work if you place them in the yellow ! boxes. See the following post for more info: erichw33.proboards53.com/index.cgi?board=nvu&action=display&thread=1170031983&page=1#1170036433To insert Google AdSense code into your page, you can either position your cursor where you want it to appear in the Normal editor view and then go to the Insert menu / HTML option, or else switch to the Source view at that point and paste the code in there. See my second post later in the above-mentioned thread for more info. I also recommend taking a look at the following post as well for more tips on AdSense: erichw33.proboards53.com/index.cgi?board=np1&action=display&thread=1175264933&page=1#1175295635There should be several sizes of ad blocks available in your AdSense account, so you can just choose whatever size you like there and Google will provide the code. The ad should appear on your site in the proper size...note that you are not allowed to change Google's code in any way. If it is not the right size, check the area that you are pasting the code into...if it is a table cell with a certain width and/or height specified, this may be causing your problem....you may have to adjust it accordingly. You won't likely be able to view your AdSense ads yourself...sometimes you can once your site is published, but not always. Please see the other posts I mentioned above for more info. Hope this helps. Troy
