Hello Everyone,
I need a lot of help I am using NVU to create my website, and I was almost finished when I was having some trouble putting on the add to favorite button. I went into the source code to copy the code, but after I had it done I accidentally hit the keyboard and deleted a code. when that happened everything on my web page went all over the place. The banners on the left side of the page are now at the top in the center. The banners that were on the right side is now at the bottom in the center. Can anyone please help me.
Thanks, Martha

As long as you did not save the boo-boo, just close out NVU and when it asks if you want to save the changes, "just say NO." When you go back in it will look just as it did right after you made you last save.
I have learned with NVU to save after every baby step that I like, so that if something gets screwed up royal, I haven't lost an hour's worth of work.
If you did save the boo-boo, the problem is probably somewhere near the code that changes from one column to the next one. Look v-e-r-y closely at the original and compare it to what you have, especially at the table codes: <table><tbody><tr><td>yadayadayada</td></tr></tbody></table> Any little thing out of whack will cause your 3 columns to show up where you don't want them to be.

Hello Sandi,
I did not save the page after I hit the keyboard, I closed the NVU window the change should not have saved, but some how it did. I feel that you are right about the problem being somewhere in the <table> code. I will do as you said and take a look at the original page code and try and find the error.
Thanks for your help Martha

Sandi, you could be a spokesperson for an anti-drug campaign ;D Sorry, I just couldn't resist...lol Okay, time to offer something constructive... Martha, you should always keep a recent backup copy of your web page saved under a different file name and/or in a different location so that you can go back to it should things go awry with your current page. It would be good to make such a backup copy just before starting work on your page each time you sit down to work on it. Also, sometimes you can "Undo" the last change (or last several changes) made to your page with an Edit menu / Undo function (often CTRL-Z works too) if the feature is available in your editor at that time. You would have to do this right after making an error though....just something to keep in mind for future reference. Fortunately you do have your web page URL listed in your forum profile, however I tried to look at the web page you have listed and I received a "page cannot be found" message. I just posted this in a different thread but I will mention it again here...when requesting help with your web site on the forum, we will need to be able to see your web page in question in its current state in order to be able to provide you with any specific help. If you cannot figure out what happened to your page, please upload or "publish" it to your web hosting account and make sure that the URL in your forum profile is accurate so that we can see what is going on and offer you assistance with the problem.
