Can someone please check to see if my 2008 Top Pick Image is visible. I just uploaded it to replace the 2007 one, and it wasn't showing up. I mae sure the img file was also uploaded and copied into my public_html/img folder, so the file is there.

Hi,
I cannot see your 2008 Top Pick Image. Did you upload it to your Image Dircetory? You should have an Image Directory that sits in your public_html. Go into that directory and upload from there.

Hi Mary Jo, I just checked your page and the image did not display for me either. It appears that you have your 2008 Top Pick image uploaded inside your img directory, however the code to display your image inside your index.html web page just links to the home folder. There is no folder location specified, just the file name. The visitor's browser need to know where the image is located as well as its file name, so you have to specify in your page's code that the image is located inside the img directory. Right now you have the following <img> tag in your source code for your 2008 Top Pick image: <img alt="2008 Top Pick" src="2008TopPick.gif" height="265" width="350"> The source of the image is the part in quotes following src=. You'll need to add img/ inside the quotes just before 2008TopPick.gif in order to tell the visitor's browser to first look inside the img directory and then display the 2008TopPick.gif image. In other words, change this part: src="2008TopPick.gif" to this: src="img/2008TopPick.gif" Once the <img> tag has been modified, it should then look like this: <img alt="2008 Top Pick" src="img/2008TopPick.gif" height="265" width="350"> The above uses what is called a relative path, giving the image's location relative to the location of the page (index.html) that is calling the image. As you know, the index.html page is located in the public_html directory...since there is a directory inside that called img that stores your images, you need to include this in the src or path to the image that you want to display. You could alternatively give the full path to the image like this: www.mjmcintyre.com/img/2008TopPick.gifbut it is not necessary to do so. If you keep a copy of your web page stored on your computer, then the relative path should work there too and display the image stored on your own computer even when you are offline, while the full path will only work when your computer is connected to the Internet and has access to your hosting account. I hope that this all makes sense as to the "why" your image isn't displaying...if you perform the above modification to the image's src attribute then it should display fine. Troy
