I cannot believe this is such a hangup. Somehow my bookmark stopped working - when I went to check the code, all my changes were gone somehow. I tried to check the template to get the original source code, but the site isn't working. Can you please help me to fix my bookmark code again. Sorry, but I tried to figure it out myself again, and I cannot.

Hi Mary Jo, I'm not sure why your code keeps changing on you either...it must be your editor. What are you using to work on your page, is it NVU or KompoZer? If so, there is a setting in the Tools menu under Preferences / General section that states the following: When Saving or Publishing Pages
-Retain original source formatting -Reformat HTML source Which of these two items is selected in your editor? It is generally recommended to choose the first option, "Retain original source formatting". However, I think what this does is "remember" what your source code was like when you first loaded up your page in it, and then when you reformat anything the editor reverts it back to the original version. What the editor really needs is a third option that says, "Leave my source code alone!" What I would suggest is that you load your index.html page into Notepad or some other plain text editor, make the changes mentioned in your previous thread related to bookmark issues, save it, and then continue your edits in NVU or KompoZer. If you make the source code modifications in a different, plain text editor then hopefully they will stay changed the way you want them this time around. NVU/KompoZer is a good, free WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) HTML editor, however it makes a mess of source code, so it would be better to use a different program for making source code modifications and having them stay the way you want them. I actually have most of my old code missing, so the part that I fixed previously now doesn't even exist. I tried to get the original code from the template, but the page will not open. So now I need totally new code, not just to fix it. Where can I find the full code, since I cannot open the template page?

Hi Mary Jo, As Lori mentioned, we have a post in the Website Creation Tool Kit FAQ board of the forum about adding bookmark code to web pages. I always recommend for people to look through the two FAQ boards whenever they have questions or are experiencing problems before posting, as the answers can sometimes be found there. The other FAQ board is called FAQ- Frequently Asked Questions and contains more general info regarding TOPS, the forum, and the 3 phases of the 3PP training. Jim's site (including his original TOPS template page) is currently down, but you should also be able to go to your own TOPS web page on the toponlineprofits.com domain that you were given when you first signed up for TOPS and take the bookmark code from that page as well.
