I placed icon images on my website from bellsnwhistles.com and they had been working fine, but now all of a sudden, they do not show up, and in their place are those dreaded error X's. Does anyone have any idea on why this is happening, or any advice on how to correct the problem? www.mjmcintyre.com

Does anyone have any idea on why this is happening, or any advice on how to correct the problem? www.mjmcintyre.com From the Bellsnwhistles.com website: Bellsnwhistles.com graphics are free for your use and if you use them we ask that you PLEASE DOWNLOAD what you need! Do Not link to our graphics. Thank you for your cooperation. They have some way of disabling the link when you link to the graphic from their site rather than from your own. The reason they do that is to save bandwidth, which can get expensive.
Download the graphic to your computer, upload it to your images file on your web host, and link to that, as you have done with the large 2008 Top Pick graphic.

It will also save on load time. You may want to do the same thing with your banners. Copy the banner(picture) to your computer than upload to your image file.

That is the whole problem - I don't know how to download them from the site. I ended up copying and pasting the pics because there is no option to download. How do I download?

Hi Mary Jo, If you have not done this yet, you should have a folder in your pc files named images. You should also have created an images folder/directory in your web host files in home-public html. To download an image or graphic simply right click on the image and you should see option to 'save image as' or 'save picture as'. Save all images in your images folder on your pc, then upload them to your web host files in your images folder. When saving images on your pc you can name them whatever you want, just be sure that all files and names on your pc match your web host files exactly. Hope this helps. Good luck and if you need more assistance just ask. Have a great week. Michael J

Thank you - I do know that the images must be linked to my img folder, but for some reason, when I save the picture from the net, it saves in some weird place and I can't bring it up. I'll try again - thanx! It is good to get confirmation that I am at least on the right track!

Still having trouble. I feel like I am always almost there, and then something always sets me back. I save the image to my PC. When I go to upload it to my ipower, the file seems like it is dead and not able to link to a picture. All my other pics in my img folder you can click on and it will show you the pic - the icons that I am trying to upload you cannot open the file. Therefore, it does not show a picture even when uploaded onto ipower. I'm just not sure what I am doing wrong. Any further advice guys? I feel like just canning the icons, but I really want them there, and I know they will help me get promoted to Phase 3.
