Hi there! This is not the debut post I anticipated making in Phase 3...aint life something?
PLEASE PLEASE, review my site and advise me how to fix it -fast. Maybe i'm panicking but I simply changed the font in my intro text from Times New Roman to Arial and uploaded, and all of these errors were there! My bidvertizer and 7search ad campaigns arent showing up, the cell sizes of my eight row are suddenly erratic....all this when my website is now live and being marketed.
The bidvertiser ad was at the very top of the website -above logo The 7 search rext ads were in the left and right columns -about midpage. And the clock and time info have also disappeared.
I need to fix this ...FAST!
Stace

Hi Stace, I have moved this thread to the Designing & Developing Website board of the forum, which is the best place to get help with technical website creation issues such as this. The Phase 1, 2, and 3 boards are best used for questions regarding the 3PP instructions themselves. There is no reason to panic, the problems with your site are relatively minor...at least it is still operational. Many people have an error indicator showing in Internet Explorer's status bar or other such minor issues that they've never resolved, yet their site looks fine to most visitors. It is always best of course though to correct any known issues if possible. The easiest thing to do in a case like this to fix strange issues that pop up when making edits to your site is to revert to a good, previously saved copy of your site that was backed up before your most recent changes were made, and attempt to edit the site again. Here is a prior post by Tom with tips on how to name backup copies of your web pages...the latter part of the post would be of most interest to you: erichw33.proboards53.com/index.cgi?board=web&action=display&thread=2526&page=2If you do not have a previously backed up copy of your site, then of course it will be necessary to fix the existing version of your page. The table widths are relatively easy to fix and can be done either via your editor's interface or directly in the source code. For instance, the first three ads in a row table with the titles "Strong Future", "IMC", and "My Power Mall" has a table width of 468px (pixels) while the next table below it with the titles "Save & Earn", "Ignotius", and "Great Pick" has a width of 100%. Just make all of your tables consistent in size, whether they are all 468px or 100% of the available space, and make sure that the cells are 33%, 34%, and 33% wide, so that each is roughly a third of the table width. As for the ad code that you copy and paste in for Bidvertiser, 7 Search, etc. the best way to fix those is to delete the old ad code, get fresh ad code from your account on the sites providing it, and then paste the fresh code into your page. It is not advisable to try to fix ad code provided by outside sites as it is not often easy to do...it is much easier to just replace the defective ad code with new code. As for the date and clock, they are not essential but can be repaired also. First try replacing your Bidvertizer and 7 Search ad code and see if they come back, as coding issues in one part of your page can sometimes affect other areas of your page. If you get all of your other problems fixed and the date and time do not reappear, we can take another look at them at that time. You can also look at the source code of the basic TOPS page that you were originally provided with when you joined TOPS, as it had a functional date and time display and this is probably where your code originated from for this feature. Hope this helps. Troy

Hi Stace, Congratulations on your marriage, that's bound to keep you sidetracked for a while Your web site would need to be uploaded to your web hosting account...you have the domain name thehomeentrepeneurssolution.com in your forum signature so I assume that is where it was available on the Internet previously. Of course, you need an active web hosting account to host your domain name and web site files on, and if your hosting account has expired then you will need to renew it or create a new one. That also goes for the domain name registration itself too. Often those things are done on a yearly basis, although you can renew them for other durations as well. I did a quick search via a whois site and it says that your domain name is available, which means that it is no longer registered, so you will need to re-register that or a different domain name as well as get a web hosting account. These days we recommend BlueHost for web hosting, and you can get your domain name registration taken care of through them as well. Here is the TOPS link to BlueHost: www.toponlineprofits.com/WebHostingHope this helps. Troy
