Hello
I have had little to no problem with NVU until now.I went to make some changes and this pop- up came up- This page cannot be edited for unknown reason. I tried my other pages I have saved and the same thing comes up. I made changes on Nov.2, could I have done something wrong?I do not believe I did,the changes loaded and are published.
Please help as I cannot make changes to my site
Thanks
Sheba

Hi Sheba,
I have not encountered this particular error with NVU before, though I don't often use it myself. If you only got the error with one particular page then I would say there is something corrupted in the web page that is causing it and would suggest going to a previously backed up copy if you have one. However, since you are encountering this error with multiple web pages then I would say the problem is with your NVU installation itself, or something else related to your computer.
If your computer is at fault, your NVU installation could have somehow gotten corrupted, or something could be preventing NVU from working properly. For example, another program or computer infection could be locking access to your web page files, thereby preventing NVU from being able to make changes to them. Such problems could be caused by a virus, spyware or adware, or some other issue. It's also possible that something else installed recently is interfering with NVU or corrupted one or more of its files.
You could try uninstalling NVU from your computer, then reinstall it and see if that fixes the issue. It doesn't and you have access to another computer, try installing NVU on it and see if that helps. Or try a different editor altogether. Just make sure you have backup copies of your web pages before attempting any edits in case your pages somehow get corrupted by NVU in its current state. You should always have backups of your files in any case before attempting edits in case something goes awry.
Hope this helps.

Hi Troy
It worked, I deleted the last install and now I can edit my site. I will be more careful on link exchanges and Banner exchanges. It was Banner exchange that was at fault.
Thanks Again

Troy is are no longer available for help and support as much as he once was.... and we no longer use the former website domain hosting service we previously used.... Unfortunately NVU and Kompozer help and support is limited at best. We understand that many of you will either be getting a personal or business website with a Domain name for making money online. This Christmas season sales went thru the roof compared to previous yrs. It's truly getting to the point 100's of millions of people worldwide are buying products and services from the convenience of their home. No gas money spent or sales taxes at point of purchase in most cases. Many companies either give free delivery or standard cheap costs. If you're selling marketing or promoting any product or service you must have an internet presence to be successful Selecting a hosting/domain service for your online income is no different than a offline company renting space in a top quality building with a rental agent ready and willing to take care of any problems. The alternative being renting an old dilapidated and neglected building with the leasing agent unaccessable most of the time. We have thoroughly reviewed and compared all the reliable and good hosting companies and found VERYVIP to be the best for everything you get. There are several factors you need to consider [besides cost] when you pick a hosting company. These are: 1. Uptime 2. Disk space 3. Bandwidth or data-transfer 4. Service and support 5. Easy & "User friendly" program to get website online 6. Wide variety of easy to use Templates to start with If you are having a difficult decision on what to do and don't want to learn HTML code or other high learning curve systems then VERYVIP could very well be the answer. Get a website online with the domain name of your choice and easily make content changes including images, banners...etc to your website then VERYVIP is your best choice They also have LIVE ONLINE SUPPORT 24 hrs a day and 7 days a week... chat or call: Go Here: I hope this helps everyone... To your success

Happy New Year everyone and I hope you all had a Merry Christmas as well! I haven't been on here in a few weeks since before the holidays and while it's true I don't get on here every day like I once did, I am still around from time to time and make a point of checking in every so often. I haven't been visiting as often since things have quieted down after the closing of TOPS to new members, but it seems there has been a lot more activity lately and I am amazed at the number of posts I've had to get caught up on over the past few weeks. I'll have to try to swing by more often so I don't get so far behind on things again... Best of luck to everyone in 2012! Troy
