If any of you decide to sign up to actually participate in the surveys in addition to promoting them, use a different e-mail address for each company.
I signed up for all of the Survey Scout companies that offered cash or cash and prizes. Unfortunately I used the same e-mail address for all of them. At least one of them has sprayed the address all over the internet (or so it seems - ) but I don't have any way of identifying which dirty little bugger did that. Had I signed up with different addresses, it would have been easy to identify them and maybe get them removed from the Survey Scout list. As it is, I'm stuck with a bunch more spam.
Live and learn.

Online Paid Survey Depot[/color] This company pays top-dollar to have users like you try their products and services for free! Simply complete free offers and get paid without spending a dime! Start making money right away by completing offers, taking surveys, shopping online, reviewing online & offline customer service and much more. One of the best of these we've seen in a long time. Very easy to start earning.

Hi Sandi,
When they open a jail for spammers I'm applying for a job as a warder and chief punishment officer!
I also get a lot of offline spam and that drives me nuts as well - nothing to do with Survey Scout I hasten to add. When I sign up to new survey companies etc, I use slight variations - eg different middle initials, 3 line address instead of 4 lines and keep all the information in a word document. Then it is a lot easier to spot who is selling my details when the junk mail starts pouring in.

Hi Sandi,
thanks for yet another piece of sound advice from you. My wife is considering signing up to make some money completing surveys too, how do you find it? How much time does it take you to make some useful income, in terms of the time you spend each day completing them. I'm also interested in the time it has taken you to get established, with new surveys coming in regularly?
I appreciate all the advice you can give me and my wife on this. Also do you know if Survey Scout is any good for the UK? If not I'll ask them directly, but I'm deliberating whether she should try them out or go for a UK based similar company.
Kind regards,
Skyrocket Jim

I did not sign up for all of the companies - in spite of the advice I give on my website. I may sign up for more later.
Many of them sent me what I considered to be "junk offers" of the "which do you like better - Coke or Pepsi" variety. After you jump through a bunch of hoops they ask you to pay shipping on samples they want to send. I opted out of those.
I do get quality surveys from several of the companies. They are actually doing market research. They are easy to spot by the types of questions they ask. Unfortunately I usually don't fit their profile so my net reward is a sweepstakes entry. I have however been offered several online focus groups. Unfortunately they were at times that I just could not do. I am hoping to get more of those as they pay quite well.
When you join Survey Scout and get access to the list of survey companies, each one lets you know where they will accept survey takers from. Some are USA only or English-speaking countries only. Some were Australia / New Zealand only. I believe some were UK. Some will take you no matter where you are.
Hope this helps.
Sandi

Jim, I signed up for Survey Scout before I ever started PIPS or 3PPP. It's pretty easy to set up. I never respond to the survey offers anymore and I still get them daily. When I first started it took some time to sign up for the different surveys, you have to add your profile in many of them so they know who to send what type of survey offers to.
The surveys generally don't take long to fill out, but the good ones go fast so when your wife gets an email about a good one paying decent money she should respond quickly in order to get it. Just because you get an offer to join does not mean you will actually have the ability to fill out the survey. You are competing with many people and they only open them up to limited people. Those who are quick on the trigger get them.
Also, it takes some time to get into all the databases. I did not see alot of activity, or survey offers for 2-3 months. You will get some that first month, but it will start to ramp up later. It's kind of like our websites. It takes time to build up momentum with the surveys. If your wife is patient she will do fine. Just don't expect a huge number of BIG offers right away. Hope this helps, Adam

Many people who join this don't fill out the initial application properly to get all the best surveys and worse yet.... give up on it before the surveys start to come in consistantly to where you can make some decent money and get other nice products and services... Our society has become more and more of a "NOW" generation. We want what we want when we want it and we won't wait!!! Does that make sense??? I had one lady tell me I was pushing "snake oil" by including SC in our Tops group. This same person has not hardly followed one bit of the Tops instructions... and is so negative I expect she will never make a dime with Tops... all she had to do is come here and associate with everyone and she would have half the battle already won... Haven't seen a trace of her... She isn't alone... in fact she is pretty typical of about 15-20% of the people who start Tops although most are not as rude... Anyway thanks for reinforcing what has been said several times here about Survey Scout. I hate it when people trash that company simply because they don't follow the instructions or have the patience to wait on all the good benefits they offer... OK... I've let off my steam for the day... I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend! Take Care Erich

Hi Adam, thanks for the advice, sorry I've not replied earlier as I've been away with the family for a week, at last a break from slavery of my day job! I'll make sure my wife reads it and takes note Regards, Jim

I t has been about a year since I did some surveys. Like has been said a little patience goes a long way. I was wondering this morning if anyone here had a good list of the groups to apply for. If they do it would make a good e-mail series to market. Just a thought for those of you already involved with the surveys on a daily basis (making some money using them).

Erich, I completely get what you are saying. This "now" generation in my opinion is causing alot of problems in this country in general. All this "I want it now" stuff is bad for kids to learn because it leads to poor work ethic, and a host of other problems. Just look at the dramatic rise of prescription drugs in this country. Everyone wants that quick fix and yet when you read the side effects of those drugs they are worse than the original symptom.
People who expect things to work instantaneously are usually disappointed, or grumpy because their expectations are not fulfilled. You see it in stores waiting in line alot. Since I don't have to be at a job and I have more time to spend doing things I don't get so frustrated by standing in lines. Some people though are constantly trying to change lanes to find the fastest one, and usually end up right back behind you when they can't find that one "golden lane". I just look at those people and shake my head.
Anyway, my point is the same as yours. You need to "work" the Survey offers just like you need to "work" your online business. Those who fail to do that WILL NOT succeed.
My rant for the day, Adam

Adam On another off-topic tangent, one of those problems is that the "instant gratification" mindset just does not understand that terrorists will wait patiently for as many years as it takes in order to set up whatever they are plotting. The "instant gratification" mindset gets complacent very quickly and makes the terrorists' tasks almost too easy.
Boy did this thread take a twisted path from Survey Scout advice!
"If any of you decide to sign up to actually participate in the surveys in addition to promoting them, use a different e-mail address for each company."

Excellent point Sandi. I didn't want to get into a topic like that in this thread, but I couldn't have said it any better anyway. Good to know at least some Americans still have some common sense. adam

I agree a different address for each company even if it is not survey scout.. I like no minimum payout offers.

My friends had these types of spam actually... and they just told me never to response to any of the spam mails i got... But sometimes, we used to get tricked by mails or by offers that's why i think it's a better idea to never use your personal e-mail add. to register on any sites.

They say they won't give your email address away, but you still end up getting lots of junk mail. Lucky I didn't use my personal mail will signing up on those sites.

Hi all,
Hope you're all well. Found a site with a load of links to surveys and some brief descriptions of the service, pay rate etc and when you can expect to get paid. Hope it helps you.

That's true. I work for 3 different 'get paid to' websites and they have alot of the same 'surveys', so my address was already listed with them....I learned that the hard way too :/
