Hi I am Teresa Wilson, I am new to the program I am a full time college student, wife and mother of 2 children who are also in school. I want to create a lifestyle for my family that we have only dreamed of, and I will. I have tried so hard for too many years and have failed everytime. I don't plan on failing again. I don't want to get a job after college now I just want to work from my home around my family.

Hi Teresa, Robin is the only person I know that has built her site in vdeck. If you choose to do so, you will need to wait for her to help you. Many of us have chosen to build our sites with nvu. It's free and is a wysiwyg editor. (what you see is what you get.) Then we upload our sites to vdeck at that point. There are a lot of us that can help you with questions with nvu, and we have a thread on the forum with extra helps and questions answered. If you don't know anything about web design, etc., I strongly recommend you take advantage of this great tool. www.nvu.com/index.phpShawna

Teresa,
If you are going to use vdeck to build your website then the first thing you want to do is go into webbuilder and follow the directions there to get started. This program has a HTML editor and a WYSIWYG editor. The simplest way to load your TOPS template is to copy the HTML code from the template and cut and paste it into your HTML editor of your "homepage" and then you can begin editing from there.
Shawna and many others use NVU so either route you choose - you will have help.
I would be more than happy to work closely with you if you choose using webbuilder in vdeck. Personally it works great for me and I like doing it all in once place, but that is totally up to you.

Hey Robin, I went to the webbuilder and I am wandering before I start messing with anything there, if I start changing the design and appearance won't that mess up the site? I mean I don't want to change the way it looks, right? So how do I fix it up and add more affiliates to it? Don't I want the appearance to pretty much stay the same layout?
I apologize for all the questions

Teresa,
What you want to do is go into webbuilder and there you can choose a template of your liking. You will then go to edit pages and you will want to have saved the HTML code for the TOPS Template in notepad or word. Copy and paste this code into the HTML editor of that first page and click back to the WYSIWYG editor - you will see your basic TOPS template loaded.
You want to basically leave the template in order but you will be adding offers to this per the Phase 1 instructions. You need to print out these instructions and go through them step by step in order to be sure you accomplish all of these steps for advancement to Phase 2.
Now, you can choose your own colors, add graphics, move things around, etc.. I would not go about moving things at first. Just get it loaded and then we will go from there. You will want to change the header to refect your domain name or similar, etc.. You can go to my site and see how it is the basic layout as original TOPS Template but I have made tons of changes over these months in 3PP.
I hope this will get you started. Let me know if what you need next. Off for the evening but will return mid morning tomorrow!
Have fun! Robin

Teresa,
When you go into vdeck/webbuilder, you will choose web design, edit pages. When you get to your page you click on the HTML button and delete what is there and copy and paste the template code right there. Then you can change back to your WYSIWYG page and start your edits.
Go into Website Creation Tools here in the forum and you can find the template - click view source and you can copy the HTML code.
Let me know how all this goes. Good luck and have fun! Robin

Hi Per,
Welcome! It's good to see you here.
It is all a matter of preference whether to use NVU or vdeck or any other program. NVU is free to download. I would suggest you play around with both and see which one you feel more comfortable with.

Hi Lisa, It would be better for you, since you are in phase 1, to post your question in the phase 1 area located here: erichw33.proboards53.com/index.cgi?board=np1Also know that many of your questions are already answered in the phase 1 area. Tal
