Hi Craig, Like you when I started I didn't have any money to invest. I came up with the money within a month. Ipower does have a plan where you can pay 3 months at a time, it is around $30.00 for three months. It does cost more in the long run, but if you don't have the full year, then you could go this route. If you have already paid for the premium plan here at tops, and you said you have a domain name , then maybe this is the route to go. Above all else it is important for you to be a Premium member here, first. Then work on your website, save for your hosting account, after a few months you will have enough to start advertising your new website. Remember take it a step at a time...there is no hurry. Also when I was starting out I looked at monthly rates at some of the hosting sites that offered it. I found none that gave you what Ipower did. There is another hosting account that Erich is looking into, but for now as far as I know, IPower is the way to go. Others here on the forum are using other hosting sites, but I believe you have to pay a year up front with most of them. Up to you of course Good luck, and don't give up....this program does work! Hi Craig
I agree with Nancy, work on your site ,consider the 3 month ipower payment plan. This works so do what you can when you can. There is no rush and no deadline. Work at the speed you are comfortable with. You will get all the help and support you need here.

Welcome Craig, There are two ways to go with a Premium TOPS membership...you can advertise the provided basic TOPS site as-is, or you can get a domain name and web hosting account and apply for the 3 Phase Profits (3PP) training, which teaches you how to expand the offerings on your web site and therefore greatly increase your earning potential. The 3PP training is the most highly recommended route to go, and providing assistance to 3PP members is the focus for many of the boards on this forum. When you login to your TOPS members area, there is some info there detailing each of these options and giving you a choice to make as to which route you wish to pursue. I'm not sure if you have a domain name already or not, but if you don't then you need to consider this as well when comparing web hosting accounts if pursuing the 3PP training (which most people do). The recommended iPower account that is paid yearly also includes a free domain name registration. Some of the shorter duration packages may require you to pay for your domain name separately in addition to the hosting cost and will cost you more in the long run...just something to keep in mind. In addition to iPower web hosting, TOPS also has an alternate web hosting company that is highly recommended called BlueHost. You may wish to check out the packages that they offer and compare the two, and choose whichever one is better suited to your needs. You can find out more information about BlueHost at this link: www.toponlineprofits.com/WebHosting2Hope this helps. Welcome to TOPS! Troy

Ok, i was looking at bluehost and it looks like a good host for me, but i was wondering if it would be hard to follow the 3pp because it was written for ipower? also what host has an good website builder or acutally how do i even start building my page? I know how to html code a litte but i usally worked with easier site builders like godaddy.

Craig,
Bluehost is the alternative that Erich is looking into for the Tops program. NVU is the html editer that is the choice of the people for working on your site. You will learn html working on your site trust me on that one. Hope this helps, Dave and Melody

Hi Craig,
3PP was not written specifically for iPower. 3PP will work no matter what web host you are using. What you may be thinking of is the statement in the TOPS members area that states some of the built-in tools were designed to work with iPower, but they also work with BlueHost and a few other web hosts.
It is not recommended that you use an online web page builder provided by a web host to build your 3PP web site. We do have a few members who have gone this route, but it is much harder to develope your web page this way and you will be constrained by the limitations of that web page builder.
Also, there is a learning curve in learning how to use any web page builder, so it is better to learn to use one which runs off of your computer as opposed to one that can only be accessed by logging into a web hosting account.
NVU is a free web page builder that runs on your computer and is recommended to anyone who does not want to (or cannot afford to) purchase a professional web page builder such as Dreamweaver.
Hope that helps.
Tom

Hi Craig,
It should not make a significant difference if you decide to use BlueHost as far as the TOPS/3PP instructions are concerned. You can use either approved host (iPower or BlueHost) to qualify for the 3PP training.
I would not advise using a web-based site builder to edit your site, as their capabilities are usually pretty limited. It is much better to use a full-featured HTML editor installed on your own computer to edit your site. Many people here use NVU, which is a free editor, but there are many other editors used as well.
Also note that most of the members here had no prior experience with web site editing or HTML...these are skills you learn as part of the 3PP training and there are resources included in 3PP to help you learn such skills.
Troy
Edit: I just refreshed the thread and see that Tom posted some similar info about HTML editors. In any case, it is best to take things one step at a time. The first order of business would be to get a web hosting account and apply for 3PP as per the directions inside the TOPS members area...you will learn how to do web site editing as you progress.

Craig You have already been given some great advice and suggestions. Either hosting company will work but just FYI Ipower still has their Winter special in effect. You can get you domain and hosting for $59.40 for one full year and no setup fee. That comes to $4.95 per month www.toponlineprofits.com/WebHostingErich
