Hi all-

I received the following e-mail from someone in my SFI downline.

Hi folks,

It was my clear understanding when I joined SFI as an Affiliate that SFI was supported by PayPal and that I could use paypal to pay for SFI products. In fact, the SFI Cash Card says it accepts paypal. My SFI ID is xxxxxxx. I have cc'd my sponsor Julie xxx via this email as well.

Since my 1 month is coming to an end, I used my Banks Hyperwallet Service to Transfer $64.00 US to my PayPal Account yesterday, so that it would become available today thus allowing me to be able to purchase SFI's one month IAHBE membership for $29.95 and so gain the required 10 SVP needed to become an Executive Affiliate. Lo and behold PayPal is not accepted. Of course I had to wait till 5 pm Pacific Daylight Savings Time before my $64.00 showed up in my PayPal account. Catch 22 is now in effect, since you are closed till tomorrow and I am running out of time to secure my downline by becoming an EA by purchasing an IAHBE membership and Toolkit.

Is this false advertising ? or am I missing something ?? Your assistance would be gratefully accepted at this crucial moment in time.*****************************

I went in and pretended I was going to purchase some SFI products, and went to the checkout & Paypal was an option...not sure about IAHBE because I already have a standing order for it & it wouldn't allow me. I e-mailed him back & mentioned that it showed up for a payment option for me. Could it have something to do with his residing in Canada? I know from previous e-mails that this is the only way he is able to make payments.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is one of several glitches that SFI feels is perfectly logical and needs no further explaining - from their perspective.

From the affiliate's perspective, it looks quite different.

In fact, IAHBE - or any other standing order - cannot be purchased using PayPal. At one time SFI said it was something about IAHBE being a monthly subscription, but as I purchase monthly advertising and web hosting on a subscription basis using PayPal, that cannot be the reason.

As your affiliate is not a team leader, his/her e-mail isn't going to receive priority treatment. I suggest you have him/her call SFI and plead for mercy. I doubt it will work because once people are removed SFI doesn't put them back, but it can't hurt to try . . . .

Anything but IAHBE. PayPal is not offered as a payment option for IAHBE.

He can set it up with a credit card or a debit card. I have mine coming directly out my banking account each month as a debit.

Hope he can get this resolved and you don't lose this opportunity as he sounds like he is serious.

He bought a magazine subscription to get his EA status locked in for the month...this way he has a month to figure out what to do. I did recommend that he get a debit card.
