i hadn't signed up for sfi 3 hours when i get this email stating that i have " 17 new members in my downline " now i know this is just a come on to get you to upgrade to the executive level........and i wonder how you are supposed to work with these "new signups" 80% of which are from india and bangladesh......supposedly....ha ha ha then the best part was i went to the sfi website to look around a bit............and to my amazement.....when i went to check my downline page............my downline had miraculously grown to 1726 new signups .......mostly from the third world. my real question is this.........HOW ARE YOU NOTIFIED BY SFI WHEN YOU HAVE A REAL CUSTOMER WHO HAS REALLY SIGNED UP AND IS SERIOUS ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY as a newbie who is swimming in information........i would appreciate if sfi would not waste my time with bogus information.......it is difficult enough to seperate info you really need to know from the bullcrap.

Everyone who signs up after you do is placed under you. SFI notifies you of them during your first 30 days. After that the list continues to grow but you are no longer notified.
You will always receive an e-mail for each person you personally sponsor.
While it is true that most of the third world sign-ups will not succeed because they lack the resources to do so, the information SFI is sending you is not bogus. They really did sign up and they really did so after you did. They are listed in your Powerline Report.
I would suggest you notify SFI of your opinion but I know for a fact that Gery Carson would get all over your case for your negative attitude, so don't bother. If you do not wish to read the messages, just delete them. They are generated automatically, and after 30 days, they will stop. Surely you can handle it until then.

OK........ I can't keep my mouth shut here (or my fingers from typing). We need to keep negativity down as much as possible in this forum . If you work SFI correctly it is a wonderful program. I for one am grateful for my "massive" downline. I had a person sign up a few months ago who did nothing but "sign-up", I received an email recently from that person, and they are now getting active with SFI. On a personal note, I signed up for SFI maybe over a year ago. I didn't do anything with it. I joined TOPS three months ago and now I am an active member. Don't give up on people just because they are from other countries. Go look at the leader boards. They are not all "American". Cindi

apologies to anyone who thought my intent was to be negative in any way towards sfi. i just don't understand what you are supposed to do with these thousands of names......if you don't have any other contact information to work with. one of you mentioned that one of these people emailed you and started working sfi. what information do these thousands of names have about me as their downline/ sponsor ? another quick question..........where do you go to fill out your sfi signature information with these thousands of names what is the conversion ratio to buying sfi members 10,000 to 1 ??

Great post Cindi.
Always remember that SFI is a worldwide opportunity. While members in some locations may have limited resources and payment methods available to them for conducting online business as Sandi has mentioned, note that there are many successful online marketers who live in countries outside of North America.
In fact, many of our successful members live in Canada, Europe, Australia, and other locations besides the US. While some of the offers from Affiliate Fuel and BizOppNetwork we promote are only open to US or US/Canada traffic, other programs like SFI are available worldwide. And just because some members live outside the US doesn't mean that the majority of the traffic to their web sites will necessarily be from outside the US as well.
vitamingodfather - You don't have to do anything with these names...SFI sends these notifications to generate excitement with new members and help encourage them to upgrade. When new members see how many others are joining SFI, they are more likely to feel good about the opportunity and upgrade their membership to Executive Affiliate status. The initial notifications just serve to improve the upgrade rate for SFI in general.
Note that you will receive separate notifications for members who do sign up via one of your personal referral links. You are only given the email addresses of your personal referrals, and these are the ones you should contact and work with. By helping your downline members achieve success, you will be helping to ensure your own success.

Thanks Troy vitamingodfather, I would not worry too much about SFI right now. Why don't you put all your efforts into TOPS. Get through your phases first. SFI will start bringing you your very own downline sponsors through TOPS and then you will be on a more "personal" basis with your new members. Read through the SFI website over and over. The information will become so familiar to you and you will be able to manage your new sign ups. No offense taken. We just want you to have a profitable outcome with TOPS...SFI will follow, you will see ;D Cindi

Cindi is so right. Concentrate on TOPS and the rest will come. I had been with SFI three years and not one signup, after signing with TOPS I now have 56 all personally sponsored.
Once you get personally sponsored affiliates, then it is time to contact them with whatever info you want to send them.
It will come, be patient.

These are the Reports that can be found in your SFI Admin / Reports
Genealogy (The People who have Joined from your site/ Coops or Eagle awarded to you) One of your most powerful resources in SFI. Use your Genealogy to manage your growing organization, send individual and group messages to your entire organization (or any segment), monitor sales activity, award gift certificates, reassign sponsors, and more.
Powerline Report (Joined SFI these are called overflow in some programs) Find out where you are in the companywide Powerline and get an up-to-the-minute count of the total number of affiliates currently under you. Names, SFI ID numbers, sign-up dates/times, and geographical information are also provided for every affiliate below you in the Powerline.
Full Access Report (These are yours but have not completed some of the steps like Smart Start) Affiliates you've personally sponsored but who have not yet procured full access to SFI.
Opt-Out Report ( Said Bye-Bye) Personally sponsored affiliates who have recently left SFI.

If you have not personally sposored people under you from your own SFI gateways, then it means that your team has not started yet.
You need to focus on getting new SFI affiliates on a daily basis.
If you are not EA and aren't sponoring new SFI affiliates under you in your geneology, then you need to be doing that.

just an update on sfi downline............. six weeks into sfi.........i have 42,567 people in my downline. zero personal sign ups MJ, As Tal mentioned, you would only get personal SFI signups when people join the program via your own SFI gateways...in other words, via your affiliate links. And this only happens when you advertise, then people can find your links. I'm not sure where you are currently at with TOPS/3PP, but to the best of my knowledge, you are currently in Phase 1. At this point, you would not likely get many, if any, personal signups, nor should you expect any, unless you are doing a good deal of advertising (which is not recommended at that point in the program). I would not be concerned about not getting personal signups unless you were in Phase 3 and doing some targeted advertising. This generally would not come until much later when you have completed your web site and reached Phase 3 with its advertising info, and have then begun advertising your site. You can advertise your basic TOPS site in the meantime, but it is recommended to put all of your focus into Phase 1 and building your site. If you do have lots of spare time available for basic TOPS site promotion as well then you should stick to free advertising methods for it. It is however more advisable to put all of your effort into completing 3PP, then you will have a much more extensive and profitable site to advertise once you have completed 3PP. Troy
