Hello everyone. I was just wanting to see if anyone is currently promoting the NOC merchant program? I have been reading throught it quite a bit, but just wanted to see if any others in the forum have tried it, and what your thoughts are?

I have one banner up, but that is all. I don't really understand how money is made from the program. I don't have the time to run around trying to get merchants to sign up, so i don't pay that much attention. I do believe there are a few people who do promote it. Sorry I can't be of more help. Maybe I will get more involved with it once others comment on how to go about that little task Cindi PS: How did you do with your "guru" quest?

Hello everyone. I was just wanting to see if anyone is currently promoting the NOC merchant program? I have been reading throught it quite a bit, but just wanted to see if any others in the forum have tried it, and what your thoughts are? Shelly I actually signed up 2 merchants. SFI never sent out the (at that time) promised notices to all local affiliates. One merchant got no action at all. I got several notices that coupons had been printed for the other merchant but nothing ever happened as far as getting paid.
SFI used to swear up and down they sent notices out to local affiliates when a new local merchant signed up. They finally admitted that it never happened, and as far as I can tell if any marketing gets done it is either done by you or the merchant. That being the case I can't figure out for the life of me why you would go to all the trouble to sign up a merchant - or why a merchant would bother to sign up. I don't know about where you are, but here merchants can participate in a program where customers can print coupons on demand on line. My daughter does that for her favorite yogurt hang-out all the time. Merchants just would have no reason to sign up for NOC.
On the other hand, it might be worthwhile to try to sign up businesses for the Merchant Services credit card processing - except it does not seem to be available anymore. At least I couldn't find it.

Thanks Sandi and Cindi for the input. I was really thinking about trying it, but it sounds like a lot of hassle PS--Cindi, I didn't even get to the 2nd round for the InternetMillianaire. There were alot of "funny guys" out there, and alot more people that are camera friendly ;D---But it was worth a shot. Shelly

I finally found the Merchant Services page. I really think this one has potential for residual income. Most businesses would save money if they switched bank card processors. Try it with some of the people you do business with regularly and see what happens.
