Tal,
I have not had a chance to read my newsletter. This is great stuff. Thanks for pointing it out. I think this is going to help the new affiliates and EA's for us ;D

I highlighted a few key points of this announcement and sent it out through Contact Manager via SFI to my downline in case they did not receive the email from SFI.

It also appears that they have done some work on the genealogy report. We can now sort our list to show only EA's
On sort by choose Current SVP on the last filter choose Current SVP = 10
click filter
there you should have all your EA's

Lori Lori and David I haven't been able to figure out how to use the new Contact Manager [genealogy] for free members at SFI. I see where David can locate the EA's... what about Free Members... as far as sending to a specified group. Would either of you know how to send a contact to a group of non-EA's who have joined within the last 30 days? I don't know if it's my browser or what but I can't seem to get those variables to come up so I can send the group email.... Thanks Erich

Erich This one is a bit tricky but I think I have found a way around it
1. format = Date, Sort by = Date joined. 2.look at the dates and note the ID of the last person that joined the day before, ( example last person to join on 6-30 07) 3 1st Filter = SFI ID > the id you noted in step2. 2 Filter =Current SVP < 10
This gave me all that joined since 7-1-07 with a SVP less than 10.
This worked for me 3 times in a row and then it would not do it for again until I logged out of SFI and then back in.
hopefully it will work for you
You may want to wait until this month SVP is posted because we all have a SVP of 0 for the first few days of each month.

OK, maybe I am somewhat confused. When I send out a general email through Contact Manager, without applying formats and filters, who does it go to? It can't just go to my EA's because last time it went out to over 400 affiliates. Thanks, Lori

Thanks David… That way works, but how do you get it to only bring up your personally sponsored affiliates (generation 1) Hi Lori… I think if you send a group message without changing anything…your message goes to all your affiliates (EA’s and non-EA’s). But, messages will only be sent to Full Access affiliates who have opted to receive email from SFI. I really do not like the new contact manager at all…they made it much more difficult than it needs to be! Lori

I have to agree Lori. It used to be so much easier.
So when Erich mention's "free members" are these the ones that are not Full Access Members?

Hi Lori, I would say, he is probably referring to all non-EA affiliates that are full access members because if they are not full access affiliates… then it wouldn’t matter which way you try to send a group message…contact manager does not allow messages to go to non-full access affiliates. The thing is…If I try to send a message to all non-EA’s that are within 30 days…I can use the first filter and enter an sfi id number of an affiliate who joined 30 days ago and in the second filter use the current svp < 10…BUT because I have no more filters to choose generation 1…it brings up a group that are in all generations which includes affiliates that I have not sponsored. At least that’s what comes up for me. I hope that made sense. Lori

I have to agree Lori. It used to be so much easier. So when Erich mentions "free members" are these the ones that are not Full Access Members? Lori Lori The not full Access Members are those who have not confirmed their membership with SFI. They receive three e-mails from SFI. After that SFI does not send them any mail, nor are they included in the Group mail. You can contact them through your email system or if you have an email autoresponder that you have added them to... Michael

At least that is what I see when I review my stats

Hi Michael, That’s exactly my point…I want to be able to send a group message to affiliates only sponsored by me, are non-EA and are within 30 days from signing up….is this possible? If I enter “sponsor id = my id” in the first filter and “current svp < 10” in the second filter…I will get a group that includes every free affiliate I signed up since I joined SFI. Lori...your very welcome! Lori PS: Lori, this can get confusing when we write back to eachother ;D

One can only wonder why SFI has made this so needlessly complicated. The "Full Access Report" is really a list of those who do not have Full Access. No doubt none of them understand their limited access to the SFI Website. I don't understand why they have to jump through the additional hoop to gain full access.
About the only use I have found for "Contact Manager" is keeping track of those who have completed Smart Start so I know who to send a Gift Certificate to, and a handy link from which to send it.
As far as selecting those to whom I would like to send a bulk message I have found it totally useless. The last time I tried to use the filter, it didn't filter out any one. I have given up even trying.

If they opt out or the email turns out to be bad (bounces) I notify SFI to remove them from my affiliate list.. Michael

Hi Michael,
Honestly, I never used it a lot either, but it did come in handy when I wanted to send a specific message to a certain group. I just wish they would get the darn thing to work the way it is suppose to…It use to be a very useful tool and now….well, it’s just frustrating.

Thanks... I will try that system.
Yes Lori is correct... I was referring to all non-EA affiliates that are full access members. SFI should also bring back the old Contact manager to for those who are familiar with it and know how to use it. I haven't sent out a group mailing since they made that change...
Erich
PS: I sent an email to Gery... hopefully he will come here and address this situation.
