My cousin's grandson has been diagnosed with melanoma, and the surgery is tomorrow, February 21. Please pray that they get it all and for a speedy recovery. Also for peace for the family. I can only imagine how frightened they must be.
His name is David Stephens, he is 17 and he knows the Lord.
Thanks
Sandi

Thank God he is a Christian... His life is in the Lords hands now so it is just a matter of whether he takes him now or allows or provides healing. 17 is so young to get this kind of devistating disease. Tell your cousin this youngster is in my prayers for a full recovery. I happen to support the St Judes Hospital with a small monthly donation. I would think he would qualify for treatment there due to his age??
It could be something for them to look into if that is an issue...
Take Care
Erich

I am also praying, Sandi,
Not only for David's well being, but for God's glory to shine in this dark situation.

Sandi, I have said a prayer for David. I share his name, which is of Hebrew origin and means "beloved". By David's faith, he is indeed beloved of God, blessed by him, and in his loving hands. Please let us know how he is doing.

Update on my cousin's grandson. The pathology lab was very meticulous in their examination of the tissue removed during surgery. They basically teased it apart one cell at a time, which is why it took over a month. Here is part of an e-mail I received from my cousin yesterday:"...the pathology report came back this week with all edges clear. The doctors feel there is no more treatment needed. PTL!!!!" It doesn't get much better than that!

Sandi-
That's wonderful! I'm still amazed at how God takes care of his Children, especially when things seem so bleak!

I've only just read this. What started as really bad news got better as I scrolled down. I'm really pleased for David that the operation went well and I'll be praying now for a full recovery.
