Please would you include us in your prayers?

Hello,

I have to admit that I have been looking at this forum for weeks, and did not notice this section. I am so glad to have found it and will continue to look at it, with hope that I can offer some positive reinforcement and prayers for someone.

I would like to ask for some prayers. My husband and I have had a rough 15 months since he suffered a heart attack, which resulted in heart and kidney failure, and a few other complications. We had to close our business, as he is unable to work and so putting both of us out of work. I had to stay home with him, as he was confined to bed or recliner for months. He has recently started home dialysis and is starting feeling a bit better, thank you God. It has been an uphill struggle for him.

I have started an errand/home services business but as with anything, it takes time to get going. We have had our house on the market for 9 months! A problem nationwide, I understand. I have to say that having a house for sale for that long is not something I recommend! Very stressful, on top of everything else. Keeping it ready to be shown at all times, especially with a large black labrador and 3 cats gets old! Even more so if no-one is coming to look at it.

Anyway, we HAVE to get this house sold. We have been supplementing the little I make with selling our stuff. Not much left of value now.. I suppose looking on the bright side it will be less to pack when we do move! We have had some interest in the house this past week, which is what prompts my prayer request.

If you would, please pray for my husband to do better, for me to stay strong and sane, and for us to sell our house very fast. I thank God daily for TOPS and this forum, and now I found this Heart to Heart life support, I will thank Him all the more!

My husband and I put our house up for sale for six months and had only one showing the whole time. (July 2006-December 2006)

I know the housing market is terrible here in Michigan...We took our's off the market for now. Thought about trying to sell by owner this spring, but don't feel very motivated to do so.

I will pray for you and your husband and your situation. You'll find a lot of support here on the forum.

It seems you are being bombarded from every direction.

It is difficult to understand why we go through what we do, but God is faithful. He loves and cares for us. It is very easy to say that when we are walking on top of the mountain. But it holds true for the deepest valleys, too. Don't take your eyes off Him.

Some times it is easy to get down when going through things like you guys are going through, but keep in mind that God is BIGGER than all your problems.

The more you keep your eyes on Him the smaller your problems will become. The writter of the book of Proverbs 17:22 says, "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones." In Proverbs 3:5,6 the great writer says, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths."

In Ephesians 6:13 another writer gives us insight on standing our ground when he writes, "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." The first word of the next verse says, "Stand therefore...". He goes on to talk about things like "truth, righteousness, peace, the shield of faith, helment of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, (word of God) and Prayer and supplication for others".

I have found in many cases when I have a need that if I find someone else that has a need in their lives and begin to pray for them, as if sowing a seed, that my needs are also answered.

In any case we are praying for you and your family to have the very best that God has for you remembering there is no limits with Him when it comes to His children.
