Hi everyone...
I've struggled in my mind over whether to post this here or not, but with so many wonderful fellow believers, I feel that my sister would benefit from more prayers than just mine.
My little sister (she's 28) has gone through many tough times. She once walked with the Lord, until as a teenager was told that she was possessed by demons by my parents & her youth pastor....From that point on, it's been a downward spiral...(she was not possessed, but had sleep paralysis, a medical condition which I also had at her age) She can't comprehend that God is a loving God...and is very confused about her religion...
She has confided in me about many things that she won't talk to anyone else about (in our family)...She came to me in Nov. going thru withdrawals from narcotics...Through much prayer & encouragement from me, she moved back to Michigan & started attending NA meetings. She tried to commit suicide a few years ago & has been struggling with those thoughts again. She is "clean", but very depressed & she feels afraid everywhere she goes (anxiety). She has no joy in her and is afraid she'll always feel this way, possibly a side effect of substances she used. She sees a Christian Psychiatrist. I do my best to encourage her & pray for her...but she needs help that only God can give. And I don't know what else I can do to help her.
Being able to stay home has allowed me to be available for her when she needed me & God has been doing so much in her life. I'm amazed at how far she's come so far. Please pray for her & for me to have wisdom in helping her. Anyone who has ever had to deal with something like this, please feel free to pm me.
