Thanks Jacki for posting this extensive NVU tutorial here. I'm sure it will be a great resource for new members who use this HTML editor and it should probably be one of the first things they look at on this board, so I'm going to sticky this thread and a couple of other NVU tip threads so they remain visible at the top of the board and don't get lost in the shuffle Thanks again for finding and posting this tutorial. Take care. Troy

For NVU user I don't use NVU, but found this User Guide will both prove useful for new users and act as a reference guide for those more experienced. Latest revision 14-March-2006 web.onetel.net.uk/~charlescooke/ If you are a NVU user, please review let other NVU user know if it is helpful or not. Roy

Thanks for posting the Nvu tutorial. I downloaded it and starting recording all the Nvu tips when I realized I didn't know anything about what is being discussed and how I would want to use these tips or in fact what I'm supposed to be doing wwith it (Nvu ) and how I would want to use it. I w2as previously an Accountant and used Accounting Software - I am completely lost as to what, where and how I'm to have to use this - I AM LOST.

Hi I have visited: www.thesitewizard.com/gettingstarted/nvu1.shtml tutorial which is pretty handy but I've got some problems: While Visiting the tutorial for nvu I've started following all the steps until it ask me to publish the page that I was writing, so it asked me for the ftp address, directory (public html) user name and password of my Web hosting so I gave all the information but it appears like it doesn't want to publish. Is this because I've already have my Basic Tops Website transfered to my vDeck? I know there's already a directory public_html in my vDeck How can I start from zero designing my Website with Nvu? I've tried using vDeck designs and editing but I find like there's a lot of things that I can't Do with vDeck that's why I prefer using Nvu. I'm pretty lost! I' ve already wasted a lot of time and work trying to design my Website. vDeck, Nvu, tutorials........ Need some advise please! Thank you Maita

Thank you Maita Maita While you can use ftp transfer there is a simpler way. Once you are ready to publish a new page follow these steps. 1. Log in to Vdeck 2. click the Host manage icon 3. click file manager icon 4. click public html icon 5. scroll to bottob of page locate upload single file (or click multiple files to upload) 6. click the browse button and locate the new page in your file from your nuv folder for working files (or place you saved new page) 7. click upload button 8. check the new page (note the new webpage will save as what you have it named in your working file) Hope this helps Michael
