I need to add banners from my business sites to NVU. When I drag the saved banners from my file to my NVU site, the file address pops up just anywheres on my site. Why? and also it that the best way to get banners on my site?

;DHello and in case I haven't said it before: Welcome to TOPS! In reply to your question...have you had a chance to visit Jim's Tutorial yet? It will take you step by step on how to download your images to NVU and how to work with NVU. Here is the link: www.theworkathomeindex.com/tops/Just click on "Where Do I Start" and Jim explains the easiest way to save your images to your computer and how to transfer to NVU and the how to get your new site up on Ipower. If after reading the tutorial if you have another question, come on back and we will answer or let you know where you can find the answer. Have a great evening... ;D Nancy

Hello everyone,
I am having trouble with my banner links every time I load a banner in NVU and past the code with the link given the code get changed an does not work. for example this code given for Keyboarding 4 Cash looks like this <a href="http://www.keyboarding4cash.com/coupon/14407_21_1_107"><img src="http://www.trafficpayouts.com/stats/banners/kb4cash-125x125.gif" border="0"></a> But when I past it in NVU and click OK it looks like this. <a href="#%3Ca%20href=%22http://www.keyboarding4cash.com/coupon/14407_21_1_107%22%3E%3Cimg%20src=%22http://www.trafficpayouts.com/stats/banners/kb4cash-125x125.gif%22%20border=%220%22%3E%3C/a%3E" title="Advert" target="_blank"><img Can someone please tell me what is happening and what to do about it.
Thanks, Martha

Martha
Make sure you are pasting it in the "source" code of your page. It will look like that if you paste it in your "normal view"
Also, target=_blank should go after your href code, NOT your src code.
It should look like this <a href="http://www.keyboarding4cash.com/coupon/14407_21_1_107" target=_blank><img src="http://www.trafficpayouts.com/stats/banners/kb4cash-125x125.gif" border="0"></a>
Hopefully this works for you.

Hello Everyone,
I need to add the "Tops 2007" banner to my site; can someone tell me where I can get the banner and the code for it to put on my web page? also how do I get and put the small images such as the check marks onto my site I tried copying them, but when I saved them they kind of moved out of place. Thanks in advance for all your help.

Hello Martha, Check at this link for Jim's banners he created for us to use. I'm not sure this is the one you're referring to, but these are great. erichw33.proboards53.com/index.cgi?board=tool&action=display&thread=1157636519I'm not really understanding your question on the small check mark. I will tell you the way I do it, and hopefully it will help. I assume you're using nvu. Copy the image and save it to your hard drive. Example: 'save as chckmrk.jpg'. Click 'image' and browse your hard drive. Add it to your location. Then be sure to upload it to ipower. Shawna

Hello,
Thanks Shawna the small check marks I'm talking about are for example the little checks you use when you want to check a little check box type check. Yes I am using NVU when saving the images do I still put them in my index file with all the other images that I have?
Thanks again Martha

Lori - Thanks for all the links you provided Martha. I've been really busy with work lately and haven't had much forum time as a result so I appreciate all the help provided, in the two web development boards in particular. I always have to laugh though when you start posting links because you always seem to include at *least* one link to a past post of mine for some reason, and sometimes more than one. I'm not sure if this is a coincidence or what, but in any case, I'm glad that not only did I apparently not put you to sleep, but you were also still alert enough to make note of such posts. That's impressive. You must drink lots and lots of coffee or something lol Shawna - It's funny you should say that...we had a similar discussion about a year ago in which I gave a few organizational tips here: erichw33.proboards53.com/index.cgi?board=erichw33&action=display&thread=1159821433&page=1#1159917487The main tip provided is to save a direct link to a given post as well as the info contained in it, that way you can find it again online to refer others to it as well as having a copy of the info saved for yourself. Speaking of which, I thought I had saved that thread, but I believe I posted that from work just before having to close off for the night there so I forgot to save it at the time and had to locate it via a forum search just now...I saved it this time though I looked at my folder count for the number of items saved and it appears that I currently have over 650 threads, posts, tips, etc. saved and counting. I didn't realize I had so many...I'm such a packrat I'm always making note of posts to refer back to. Troy

Hi Troy…No problem…I’m happy to help and I’m glad you get a kick from my posts… Wow, that’s a lot of posts saved…I save a lot, but not close to that many. ;D It’s no coincidence…cause almost every one I saved is written by you! I’ve read everyone (no matter how long ;)lol) and have learned so much from you. You explain everything is such detail...there really is no reason to rewrite when you have already said it Perfectly! Hi Shawna… The way that works best for me is…saving the links to posts in “Word”. I just save the link and write a little note to myself to what the post is about. It really comes in handy…especially when doing reviews. Yep, I’m guilty…I do, I do, I do…drink lots and lots of coffee! My doctor flipped out on me when I told her how much coffee I drink. I also make it really strong…my husband calls it “rocket fuel”. Have a great day! Lori
