Being a father of 3 and a husband, working a traditional job was taking away from my time to be there for my family like I wanted. This caused me to stress out at work all the time and just not be a cheerful person.
So one day my wife Shelly & I were talking and I told her that I was going to look at some work at home opportunities, her instant reaction was, "Are you serious, aren't they all scams". I didn't know but was going to find out. Me being a maintenance tech for years was completely out of my element. So I got a hold of a family friend that I was told was involved in Network Marketing. He came over one evening and we talked for a good 2 hours and I decided this is it, I'm going to try this.
This was 15 months ago. Wow what a fantastic 15 months, discouraging at some points but know I am making 5 times what I did in the past and NO boss telling me to be at work this day, this time, i can have this day off, I have to work overtime this day. Pretty much telling me when I can spend time with my family.
I don't sell anything with this company, a network of consumers is how I put it, a family. The support, training, phone conferences and all are so fun. I can laugh when I work.
I love to show people my excitement and tell them my story.
For people that say all network marketing companies are scams, I found a pretty good scam then. Cause I'm making an average of $8500 a month, that's in 15 months, 6 of that I was still working my other 60 hr a week job.
I've been told by my up line that I have an amazing system that I use that no other does. I don't sell this to anyone, I befriend them and tell them what its about, how it can work...that's it. If they want, really want to do it they will sign up and then we get right into training. Random phone calls pretending I'm interested, hitting them with some of the hardest questions. Make DVDs and online capture videos for them. I want my down line to succeed and there's only one way to do that, help them. Help, help, and more help.
I hold group workshops and have my people advertise out 4 weeks in advance and whoever comes that got their advertisement, they get the sign up...not me. I will gladly take the residuals and leave them with the rapid income bonus, cause me doing the workshop with them there trains them, gives then a start so we all benefit.
If anyone is interested in doing something like this, I tell them this. "Its a challenge going from an employee to a business owner, patience and it will come to you, then your unstoppable."
Call me if you are even considering network marketing, I will try to explain to you what to look for, what to avoid and especially how to understand compensation plans, they are trickier than you think.
