I need someone's help please ...
The PriceBenders report that I did I was not able to get authorization from SFI to sell this information.
In the mean time I have had someone from California that kept getting into the report. How they got this information is beyond me.
Anyway, I did the normal and blocked the IP address in ipower. This person has a rotating IP service or something because I ended up blocking a whole list of random numbers.
I finally after not being able to stop them took the files out of ipower so that there was no page if they clicked on any of the links in the reports I did.
Because each of these reports has site lock from ipower (which I am totally disappointed with) and has statcounter the hits are still showing coming from this person.
They are just going down the list from the main pages.
My question is this ... After I took it off ipower ... and I click on it ... I see nothing. Now if they saved these files on their computer? Can they see it still?
Someone is taking my hard work I have done for the past 10 months and no doubt will make it their own.
Please help me protect what I have done, someone ... anyone please

Sorry to hear your report wasn't approved by SFI. Did he give you any reason? IDK why he would care since I can't see how it would hurt his biz?? Perhaps he's planning on offering one himself which of course would be his right? I guess when it comes to rights... the info is likely his copyrighted material.
I'm not trained enough in Computer Science to advise you how to protect your work. I believe these savvy people who hack into places would have little problem getting and saving your reports.
However, I would be surprised if they tried to sell the information. They probably want to use it themselves and pass along to bidders they have in their genealogy... or even partners they may have who help them.
As far as locating the person in calif, I'd first start looking at the Power Rank and Versa Points leaderboards and people who are from Calif. Then perhaps you can find their IP's. But then if they have the right skills to hide and rotate these, then it could be a futile effort.
I'm pretty sure both you and Gery Carson will soon find out if they try to sell it. You might want to tell him this happened in case it shows up for sale or use. If they copied it number by number and word for word then perhaps you can find it on Google... if it shows up.
Just remember there is a limited market and the info is only useful to those who bid or plan to start bidding at Pricebenders. It could also be used as a marketing tool and/or for Team Leaders to get affiliates interested in becoming active there?? That's one reason why I"m not sure Gery thought this through and saw the potential. But then again, he could have plans of his own.

That's one reason why I"m not sure Gery thought this through and saw the potential. But then again, he could have plans of his own. No reason was given by SFI because SFI will not even acknowledge I sent an email, several times. Tried calling and told he is not available, several times. About the time I posted here in the forum about the reports is when the hits from California increased on these reports. Purchasing sitelock for any of your sites is not to protect against them actually getting your site and doing what has happened to my reports. The only thing it protects you is with anything that may have been added to any of your sites by someone else. Which they did not block on my SFI site. This is what 'sitelock' came up with for my SFI site: Description:We have detected iframes to external urls on your site. While there are legitimate uses for this, it is also commonly used by hackers to insert content into your page. We recommend you check the urls in this iframe and make sure they are a trusted source. Action:Check the url to make sure it is something you recognize and are ok with some of your traffic being sent there. If you do not recognize it, remove the iframes and links throughout your website. Looks like I will start over on my SFI site with a clean new page because I have no idea what they are talking about or what to look for. Hard lesson to learn Tamberlee

Wow, Tamberlee. That's really awful that you are having all these problems.
I must also say it's awful (and not surprising - but we won't go there) that SFI isn't even acknowledging the issue. I would think it would be to their advantage to help you get to the bottom of this.
I do have a question: Was the site where you had your report a Prestige Domain site?

I do have a question: Was the site where you had your report a Prestige Domain site? Hi Sandi, After my last attempt to get Gery to talk to me he finally emailed me. I told him what I had done and gave a couple of links to click on. He never clicked on any of the links. I was never really told No you cannot or Yes go ahead. There is nothing stopping anyone in SFI from doing this. Hopefully in a couple of days this will go live for 2012. I was using one of my domains for this project and moved it to something else. If whomever has this on their computer ends up using a Prestige Domain, you would think SFI would know who it is. Thanks for the support Sandi Tamberlee
